Last of Us [PS4]

what i dont understand is, why TLOU uninstall it game data?
a mandate from Sony that cached game data need to be uninstalled?

on Xbox 360 games, they just throw a bunch of data on Cache partition inside HDD. Never uninstall it. To uninstall it, i need to manually go to "service menu" or play multiple other games.

so if i keep playing only 1 game, the loading become very fast.

Probably to allow more people to play the game. Early PS3s shipped with 20 or 40GB HDDs.

People who have large HDD can buy the digital version, which installs the entire game on HDD.

Yeah. I'm already really loving the impact of a single bullet in terms of animation, I wish more games had that. And I could definitely see a mode be actually fun where a hit is realistic in terms of impact. Perhaps detect when something is a non-lethal fleshwound and allow you to patch that somehow, but that's about it. ;)

I like how Joel cannot climb/platform out of a situation like Spiderman.

I can't see myself playing hard or survival mode for this game. I suck at it.

I will try MP and replay a few levels at normal mode. I much prefer the zombies to the humans.

perfect tens all around. wow

The game doesnt interest me but I may try it anyway.

Meh, I find Listen Mode is the lesser of two evils. No matter how good the graphics and immersing the sound you just dont ever get the environmental awareness of real life.
I think losing orientation of the situation and then using listen mode is alot better than dying and restarting with all the knowledge of the encounter ahead. If you think about the camera angle which allows you to see over your cover and around edges while fully hidden then you are already wall-hacking all the time - Booh, un-immersive, yadda yadda.

But then Im a person that gets terminally lost in his own flat if you turn him around 360 degrees, so maybe its just me that cant keep track of the surroundings in a game without some aids.

I just hate the bloaters... any idea how to effectively kill them? It seems to me that you have to shoot away all of his fungal plates, just aiming for the head wont do it

Use Molotov on the bloaters.

In the game, it's easier to run away or dash through in at least 2 places. Running away is also effective against humans.

Evasion is under-rated, a few sections when ammo was low I chose mis-direction to make a hole and sneaked away quietly.
For bloaters, a couple of nail bombs with a shotgun or other high-powered weapon finisher is also effective. The nice thing about nail bombs is if they don't get triggered you can recover them. I was also very cautious about taking damage so I could craft molotovs and nail bombs. Once I got the bow, head-shotting clickers meant almost no need for shivs except for doors so more blades for nail bombs. A few upgrades and the bow is awesome, although I ran out of arrows a couple of times.

Well I've finished, after a 18 hour run, an can categorically say that ND have made their best game yet and my favourite PS3 exclusive. I'd also rank it at No2 for my favourite this generation.

I think that ND have done an absolutely amazing job getting the PS3 to perform at this level, the game has a few rough edges that are down to the limits of the PS3 and not ND and I applaud their design decisions and the fact that they have crafted such an amazing experience.

I can't wait to see what they pull out of the hat with the PS4!

So far so good, didn't use listen mode.

Hard - 25% complete - 2:27 hours

Renegade playing the digital version right?
does it took long time to load?

the disc version seems okay-ish

EDIT:
its running on old PS3. The 1st ps3 slim version. (not the new super slim)

does CD lens cleaner works on PS3? there's a bursh on the disc and i dont think it can goes into the slot loading drive

Its funny that you ask this, because I was just going to post that Loading is so fast in this game ! In my psn version, I don't have to wait at all. Loading is super quick ! I haven't seen the disc version so can't compare it, but no I don't have to wait at all to get into the game.

The game is full of developer love, just look above at the clouds, they are 2d layers, yes, but they move ! Its not just a skybox. Little touches everywhere.

Ellie trying to whistle scared the hell out of me

I'm playing with my headphones on, can't hear nothing else than the sounds of the game, such an inmmersive experience.

omg you guys play it soooo fast. Im still very early and need to finish it asap to make a review.
I almost always ended up killing all zombies/human in one area and running here/there to inspect things.

feels like playing LA Noire again. Inspecting things, many things :D
