Have you played GTA4? It is very different from Pac-Man.

Heh... There was a particularly disgusting X-Files episode inspired by this particular fungus. Hella creepy stuff if you ask me! :D

Heh, I've been watching some DLC packages like that, but lately I've been fantasizing about watching a whole game. :)

asura's wrath is a more extreme example. it even should be able to be make game from YouTube video haha.

btw uncharted game feel good when played except the shooting events.
the game feel 'synchronized' between cutscene and gameplay

I've done that with live streams of newly released games like Uncharted 3 and RE6. Last one was quite a ride with Capcom actively shutting the streams down and having to hop from one to another xD

Its a matter of opinion really but a large portion (roughly 80%) of the uncharted gameplay is watching scripted scenes. The illusion of choice is obvious. There is often nothing gained by physically playing the game yourself since you will get pretty much the same experience just watching someone else play it (which is faster). It depends on the game and the amount of branching that is possible.

You can tell allot from the Last Of Us trailer just by looking at the "path" that the player has to take through the world space. Its a design problem that has not be solved yet - if the designers want to put the player in a "situation" they have to lay bread crumbs. Some people find it fun and challenging, others find it a waste of time.

Eitherway its certainly going to be a pretty game.

And you're basing this statement off of a game you've only watched and not actually played? Interesting.

I guess gaming just isn't for you, except online multiplayer gaming. Anyway, I loved the description of their new A.I. for this game. I would like to hear more about it.

Eerybody having sex has pretty much the same linear experience as well. Foreplay, get clothes off, more foreplay, penetration, penetration, penetration, orgasm, ejaculation, lie in bed DONE. The branching is minimal, with the ilusion of choice by alowing to choose diferent positions, or changing the speed you do it. The actions are pretty reptitive as well, push, pull, push pull and that is it. Some positions, like girl on top, have no gameplay at all, its basically a cutscene. Doing it yourself is just a waste of time, better off watching porn on the internet. It sure has some great graphics.

Not bashing it. Last of Us looks pretty good but I would not really compare it to sex. A little shooting, platforming segments sandwiched between cutscenes. Hopefully there is the option to fight or use stealth gameplay. When is the new release date?

Choice to play the game using stealth has been one of it highlights

This is not a matter of opinion, this is easily verifiable facts.

The Uncharted series is pretty linear, but since when is that something bad. Sonic 2 is also very linear, would you rather watch a playthrough of that than playing it yourself.

Not all, but many games I play are largely due to the story elements in it. Usually the gameplay is not so interesting that repeating the same thing for 15 h would bring ever growing satisfaction. I'm thinking that by just watching a linear story driven game, I actually get something like 80 % of the whole experience. Sure I don't want to just watch 70 h of Skyrim or something like Trials HD, but there are some games where it would work, just like watching episodes on TV. The 90 or so minutes of Mass Effect DLCs were ok to watch imo and I loved watching MGS 4

Not exactly the same. There are some quite distinct physical sensations as well as chemical changes in the body during sex. Release of endorphins, nerve centers being stimulated, etc.

Whether you watch something like Uncharted or play it, the experience is roughly the same. You're still experiencing it mostly visually either way. With playing you might have some minor muscle movements with the controller and if the enemy AI or puzzles in the game are particularly good, you may have some mental stimulation which you wouldn't get from watching a video.

I've taken to doing the same thing for games that feature lots of QTE's (like GoW), for example. Saves me the frustration of dealing with a gameplay mechanic I don't enjoy, and at the same time I get to experience a storyline that may or may not be enjoyable without having to spend the money on it.

    Regards,
    SB

Having sex is WAY more fun than playing any of our favorite videogames by a wide margin.

    Sex>videogames... :twisted::twisted::twisted:

Stunning trailer. Artists are amazing. Engine holds it own on a ton of stuff. And it looks very ambitious. I like how they've come leaps and bounds from Uncharted 3 melee system. Every encounter feels like a brutal struggle and so visceral. Pretty impressive.
