Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Is it camera motion blur :?:

No, it's animation/movement based motion blur as far as I know, but it does seem to affect everything to some extent and neither the camera nor the characters are ever standing completely still at any time. So I was just wondering if that had an effect. There are demos online somewhere, I'll see.

Thanks for the reply.
Did you guys check the other screenshots in the link posted below the picture? They might give you a better idea of what is going on with the res.

i think yes for PS3 with 2xAA but seem 720 or 768 no AA for X360? (maybe arcade version?)

screenshots isn't good because downscaled in 688 and game not 720p, dual blury rescale...

Going by the E3 showing, I think Iron Tiger mentioned almost complete lack of any motion blur on the 360 version (that was a while ago).

The arcade version of the updated Bloodline Rebellion was sub-HD compared to the original version, so it should be interesting to see if the home versions were improved at all. Especially the PS3 one since the arcade version used the same hardware.

Btw, what the vertical resolution of the some of the stuff mentioned? (585 and 768)

Is there a visual difference between the arcade version of T6 & Bloodline Rebellion ?
If yes then what kind of differences ?

There were some noticeable frame rate drops and the image quality wasn't as good with more aliasing. The full motion blur added an overall touch of polish that made the update look and feel smoother gameplay wise.

Maybe I spoke too soon in assuming that BR was sub-HD and I could've been thrown off by the motion blur. The frame rate was consistent too.

On a side note, going by the E3 impressions, SD Tekken noted that a momentary dip in the frame rate in the arcade version (when the floor is destroyed and you switch arenas) were absent in the 360 build but intact in the PS3 one.

They both look just about the same horrible, if these even are the two console versions....i don't see any indication of which is which.

I don't understand, why couldn't they just use the soul calibur4 engine?

.....the models, hair and detail was over all better in that game.

360: 1024 x 768 No AA
PS3: 1024 x 576 2 x MSAA

That's certainly interesting. I would've figured both would share the same res and only the 360 would have 2X MSAA.

As long as there isn't any double scaling like SCIV, it's all good. The game looks really great in motion.

The original was 720p no AA, but the Bloodline Rebellion version that the console versions are based on was sub-HD going by the resolution of the PS3 version (same hardware).

thought the earlier analysis for Bloodline Rebellion for the arcade was 1024X768 like MGS4 before they even show any 360 media. Could it be that they rather go with a smoother graphics than a sharper IQ for PS3? Guess we have to see both in motion to see the quality especially the motion blur.
