I was right, RE4 does have the GC's best lighting.

Just to let everyone know, IGN have put those high res vids in the wrong order. The correct order to download/view them is 1,3,2 instead if 1,2,3.

Cloth physics from the early demo appear to still be there PC-Engine. (referring to the 8 minute IGN movie, or the segmented hi-res clips provided)

I watched RE4 E3 movie and I am AWESTRUCK  . Graphics are absolutely amazing, they have raised the bar to a new high, it will interesting to see if MGS3/SH4 can match it. Lighting and particle effects are breathtaking, Leon's hair/cloths move realistically, only the animation looks to be the weak spot.

With respect to your opinion Deepak, texturally neither MGS3 nor SH4 can match it. (coming from a technical standpoint) Procedural animation? Well we all know that KCEJ-W are the kings in that regard. MGS3 will be excellent. (from what I saw at E3) Well Mikami & Studio 4 have around 5 months to smooth the transition from one animation to the next. While I played it many of the animations were quite smooth, it was the transition as I mentioned that was sometimes jarring.

Here is an interview with the producer: http://www.nintendo.com/gamedev?gameid=3ba6d0a1-2ed9-4f06-bac6-fd0fc6fef6c6&

I don't fully understand the following remark:
Kobayashi: It's human nature to want a thrill and being scared is one of the key thrills in a person's emotional range. Roller Coasters, Haunted Houses, American Fast Food... all of it exists because we like to scare ourselves!
 :D

Cause we're a fast food nation babei!

Is the video output on res evil 4 crisp and clear(ala super smash bros melee and fzero) or blurry(like soul calibur 2, rebel strike which also has other graphical errors, the ugly nightfire, and most other gamecube games).....I hope it's not blurry, I would take half the graphical detail for a sharp image.(though on a tv, I'd take a blurry image with more detail over a sharper one with less, but not for pscan!)

^ ^ Hopefully it's pro-scan compatible...

Pro-scan & widescreen compatibility. They finally are using DPLII as well, as none of the previous REs supported either. I was hoping for DPLIIx, (ala RS3) but this is a definite step in the right direction.
