Horizon: Zero Dawn - Graphics de-Gushing

The game is really getting Jurassic Park like, had some intense battle with a trio of Belloback which reminded me of the Suchomimus. It showed me what it feels like to be hunted by those giant theropod dinosaurs for the first time and boy I haven't even met Thunderjaw yet. Really love the design of those machines it's right up in my ally.

Snapmaws are also mean bastards. You'll see those and Thunderjaw's before you leave the sacred lands - well you will if you explore. I've just got to Meridian and this game is insanely, insanely big. And they keep cranking the visuals up! :runaway:

Oh hell yeah I'm a explorer junky:), literally taking my sweet time checking out every corner no expenses spared. Can't believe the visuals would keep ramping up, oh my poor share button.

I think what you mean is that her eyes have an actual cornea with some nice specular reflections, and an anterior chamber with some depth. The pupils don't seem to react to light though and the iris plane seems a bit concave which is weird.

Indeed, the pupils don't seem to dilate unfortunately, which is just adding to giving the characters a very plastic look still.

Got these at a weird angle, this is how it looks from the front:

And I think you are correct about the pupils, def one aspect they can improve upon.

Edit: Two more

So, I've been lurking Beyond3D for a while and just made an account a few days ago. Much of it has to do with my permaban on GAF.

Anyway, back on topic, I've seen people mentioning many times that Horizon uses ray marched volumetric fog. I've seen some pretty impressive looking fog myself after playing the game for almost 20 hours. But my question is, are we sure that it's ray marched volumetric fog? What are the telltale signs of the technique?
