While I generally don't put much faith in early reviews from single platform publications, a 9/10 is at least a good sign that the game isn't fundamentally broken.

Jacqui Ainsley Interview

Jacqui Ainsley, the superb model and actress that acted for Madison Paige's character in Heavy Rain, accepted to answer to an exclusive interview for our unofficial Heavy Rain Blog. She answered our questions about her, her work with Quantic Dream studios, and the specific way of acting in a video game.

Cool, do they have "Making of Heavy Rain" video for the EU special edition ? (There is a CE edition for EU right ?)

Heavy Rain Gone Gold in North America:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/01/heavy-rain-goes-gold-demo-coming-february-11/

Release: Feb 23
Pre-order Bonus: Free "Heavy Rain Chronicles" DLC

Demo: Feb 11

The demo will allow players to play two chapters from Heavy Rain, featuring Norman Jayden, an FBI agent brought in to help local authorities track down the Origami Killer, and Scott Shelby, a private detective hired by the families of past victims of the Origami Killer to find the serial killer.

Finally got around to watching some "gameplay" videos. Those of you who enjoy this kind of thing...more power to you.

But I think it looks like a parody of "next-gen," like they took out the "game" part and made it more like a very pretty choose-your-own-adventure book that focuses on cinematics and production values even more than games like MGS and Silent Hill.

I think they've been smart in advertising a demo weeks before release. You and everyone else can actually try it, instead of us trying to guess whether we'd like it or not!

The new trailer is giving me memories of me playing Syberia 2 back in the days, except this time everything is moving and real :) ! I think this might bring back the Adventure game Genre  ! Although with so much money put into this way of creating a a whole movie for the game(that too wth multiple options), I wonder if they will be able to make profit ! I hope they do :D !
I want my Syberia kind games BACK !

Can't wait for the demo. Really hope this new format works !

EDIT: The walkthrough at gamersyde, IS it the demo walkthrough or do they already have a copy of the game?

I want my Syberia kind games BACK !
Not gonna happen as these days its all about hardcore & interactive stuff....anything which tries to go back to old games is clunky or a game that'll get a "Its a movie not a game !" remark

Well, if we add puzzles to this Heavy Rain, its pretty much new age Syberia kind.
I just hope it works ! :)

If one such game becomes superhit, we'll have many who'll follow .

Hm, my local game mag has a review: 87/100...which is not bad, but not sensational either.

They state that the game has a slow start (all 4 characters are introduced with a lot of detail)...after that, it gets much better.

They also state that you should not expect a demanding gameplay/controll scheme - because there is none.

I am really on the fence regarding this game: good that the demo hits, this gives me the possibility to make a decision!

Not sure how beneficial a demo will be for Heavy Rain. I played a portion of the game at the Eurogamer expo a few months back and came away feeling extremely underwhelmed.

Yet the game is still one of my most wanted of this year.

However, if I didn't already know something of the game and hadn't already expereinced Farenheit, that playthrough would have knocked any interest I had in the title into touch.

I just don't believe it's a game that can sell itself in 15 mins, in fact being more likely to do the opposite.

Well the video at gamersyde, the walkthrough of Qore episode, I guess, is incredibly cool ! I totally feel like buying the game after watching it. Feels like a ver y edge of the seat decision making, the way it is in real life, not like u stare at a screen and take time to decide your next move.
Thats how life is, you are standing in front of someone who is talking to you and you have to instantly decide the answer you give.

I think it will be great !
The demo might or might not be able to make you feel something for a character, so I dunno how indecisive one will be making decisions in the demo.
