It does beggar the question...why? Creating a language that's harder to implement and only adds miscommunication to an already dubious coms system. When better language = less intelligable, we're going backwards on hundreds of thousands of years of hard graft to create systems by which we can better make sense of each other  :?

Thanks for that one madmartyau, I was wondering about all that weird terminology myself. Strikes me as a goofy subculture to me, but to each his pwn...

    Aren't all subcultures inherently "goofy"?

Yes, hence, the "to each his pwn." I don't have an issue with it, just something that has perplexed me as an outsider, which is probably the whole point.

hehe, I find it ironic that at the same time you complain about this, you use the term "beggar the question" (or rather "beg the question", as it's usually put) to mean the new, meaningless, redundant* synonym for "Raise the question".

Once upon a time "Begging the question" actually meant something useful that was hard to put to words otherwise, now it's just a trite & mostly superfluous idiom. "Begging the question" was a logical fallacy where a question is formulated so that the very thing it's questioning is already assumed to be true... (or better/more accurately put; the conclusion is hiding in the premise)

    Btw, sorry for going offtopic...

*hmm... am I being redundant myself? :)

Deanoc great work so far. Cant wait to see the final product. I was wondering how many people do you have working on this project (sorry if I missed it somewhere).

I wouldnt mind a breakdown by department if your able to give info. (I assume heavy in the art dept?). Trying to get an idea on the size of the teams for the development of next gen systems :)

Thanks again and keep up the great work

Currently we are about 30 odd, with the majority being coders but with the rapid ramp up to full production we will grow alot (more than double) with the art team becoming a much larger group percentage wise.

The stuff I've seen so far looks beautiful. Keep it up Deano 'n pals, this game is one of the few next-gen titles I'm truly looking forward to.

I don't really have any questions (that can be answered or haven't been already), I just wanted to throw my thoughts in with the rest.

I was thinking much the same thing. XD Can you tell us if you went with this instead of the skirt, or will she have other costumes in the game?

OH! That'd be pretty cool... kinda like in a fighting game... you could customize the main character with all sorts of things different outfits and objects. A bit more personal than just unlocking different character designs ala DMC3 (not that it isn't an amazing game in itself just a bit more personal.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I have a Q for DeanoC.

When do you think we will start to see some new media from your game? Looking forward to seeing more shots of the indoor areas. :)
