Halo Infinite [Fall 2021] [XO, XBSX|S, PC, XGP]

I fear what happens when Steve Downes isn't doing the voice any longer. He's been the Master Chief's voice since Halo 1.

 

It's ok, they have Chris Tucker lined up to take over.

 

What a weird train of thought this just put me through.

After reading that my sequence of thoughts.

• I love the voice actor for the narrator of Darkest Dungeon.
• I'd giggle my ass off if he was the voice of Master Chief.
• It'd kind of fit if Halo was set in a GrimDark universe like Warhammer 40k.
• OMG, I'd be over the moon if MS licensed Warhammer 40k and allowed The Coalition to make a Warhammer 40k game.
• It's not that much of a step from the Gears aesthetic to the Warhammer 40k aesthetic.
• That would be amazing and because it would be amazing it'll never happen.
• Now I'm sad again.

The campaign is looking very promising. They've pulled it off after all. If it is indeed as polished as the fans hope it is, MS will have a hit in their hands. Halo will be one of the big boys again, and a system seller for MS. Good for them.

Did... Did they just took a jab at destiny's "become legend"?

 

I love hero shots of character models. There's always so much detail that you rarely get to appreciate during gameplay/with in game lighting.

 

Is there a release date for the single player portion of the game? I can't find it anywhere.

 

8th December for SP and MP

 

So what's coming at a later date? Is it RT?
I thought there were was going to be a phased release somehow, but maybe I mistook it for something else?

one thing i loved in halo 3-ODST-REACH was the theater mode where you could look back at your campaign gameplay from every angle and take great shots.
it was gone in Halo 4. Don't know if it was back in H5 and if it'll be there in Infinite.

 

So there's no date for RT in Halo Infinite, either on xbox or PC?
Are people assuming RT is coming before Co-op?

I kind of don't want to play the game until RT comes out, or at least until I know what RT brings to the table.

 

Since I can only RT on console I'm curious as to what it brings. It feels like the consoles can only manage reflections or GI/Shadows. I'm not sure which I'd prefer. Infinite's crying out for latter, but it has all those shiny structures/vehicles that'd benefit from reflections.
