Halo Infinite [Fall 2021] [XO, XBSX|S, PC, XGP]

26 GB on steam. it's totally rammed. I can barely get any download speeds here. beta progress will continue to release

Sounds like could be blue screening on all versions (possibly steam is working)

I'm surprised they didn't just do it as a GPU perk, which would've helped manage rollout slightly. From a support to amount of players

I also wonder what this will do to the momentum horizon was gathering.
Yes may be different games, but there will be lots of overlap and people only have so much time.

It's why companies, even movies usually gives a couple weeks window.

Happy for the MP fans, but still seems strange thing to just throw out there

It's fine, they are separate categories of games. If they released the campaign there would be overlap. Not everyone is interested in sweats.

224K viewership on twitch. Only lirik and ninja right now. When more come on later tonight, it's gonna be mental.

Doesn't need to be same category.
Neither are indi or AA games, which would not be such a big step on toes issue

All the hype about how many people are playing and loving it, which feeds into more people trying is going to be replaced with halo.
 
Game is very gpu heavy. Looks alright. Hard to get into a situation where I'm cpu limited by adjusting settings and frame rate doesn't get very high. Will probably just have to cap it to keep input lag low. GPU always sitting at 100%.

GPU based dispatch, should be very low CPU usage.
 
I like that the have sliding and sprint. Feels faster than the old halos.

Any word on if they’re using some kind of reconstruction? Scales pretty well when you lower render resolution. FSR would be a nice fit for pc and console.

I'm not sure Horizon has anything to worry about. Battlefield 2042 has significantly more to worry about. I've already seen plenty of people that have uninstalled BF 2042 now that the Halo MP BETA is out. There's far more overlap between Halo and BF players than between Halo and FH players. Still early days but it's looking like competition for FPS player's time is going to come down to COD and Halo with BF being mostly left out. It's possible BF may see a resugence in 6 or so months after most of the bugs have been ironed out.

tried a bit, it looks very average on XsS and at 30fps, after BF2042 i'm quite disappointed. But anyway i'm only interested in the coop campaign.

wow it really needs to look bad on xss, on xsx BF2042 after playing halo infinte felt like a game from 10 years ago. Ugly full of bugs and frustrating.
