GTA V on PC

I can't remember any game where this wasn't the case.
Alpha testing/punch through, blending and the small geometry necessary for foliage has always been painful...

The overdraw can probably get rather extreme in areas with lots of plants and stuff. DX12 would help a lot.

Maybe GPU memory bandwidth getting hammered by alpha blending? I dunno just throwing stuff out there.

Yes, MSAA and Shadow MSAA seem to make a huge difference.
In the city I get full 60FPS almost all the time with 4x.
In the rural areas, I'm lucky to get a steady 30-40FPS with only 2x.

Is there a slider that specifically reduces foliage in the rural zones? Perhaps I don't need that much foliage in the desert...

Hmm, looks like there is no problem if you disable AA. Which means that alpha-to-coverage probably is the culprit (as I suspected earlier).
Okay so they're doing alpha to coverage. Can it be disabled independently from MSAA?

They could be forced to hang up on customers because of a large influx of calls and don't want to waste time telling the person over and over the same thing when they could be taking other calls.

And this is why I don't use the same password for my games as I do for websites.
Phone Customer Service from Rockstar ordered to hang up on people during conversation:

Not cool...

Turns out to be massive miscommunication between Rockstar and their support agents (whether internal or outsourced).

Turnaround for getting a hacked account back is relatively short now.

Lol I throttled it to 1MBps (big B) over night cause my bro was watching netflix and it's still not done. I have a ~20/1Mbps connection btw.

Probably a good thing since I have this crap called work I have to do. And it takes all day. Actuall
