looks stunning but ive got a question(or 2)...

    is AF being used ?

and is anisostropy filters a big hit on performance or are developers simply for going it for motion-blur/depth of field effects ?

Well, Blim saw sp beta version in Paris and said it uses 4xAA. About depth of field and focal lenghts, in theater of war visibility is important, so - I don`t think so.

I think the lighting is the most impressive.

Only thing what's not so good is that the levels themselves don't seem to show any signs of life.

I'm impressed by the fact that they've implemented shadowmapping on a global level or at least on both dynamic and static polygonal objects with self-shadowing.

In the 3rd video when the granade explodes you will see the palm tree shed some leaves and sway from the explosion.....nice attention to detail.

Damn. I really hope these vids are from beta. For example, the clip doesn't actually come out of the gun when you reload and your mouth doesn't move when you give orders. Plus there are quite a bit of lo-res textures still in there.

It looks pretty nice to me, especially for a spring title, i'll take it!!

The only real complaints i would have are the geometry in the environments could be better, too many square objects like street lamps and stuff, you see lots of corners. Also, I think the parralex mapping(or whatever they use to give building features their depth) could be a little stronger, many of the objects look a little 'flat'?.

With that said though, who the hell cares, just ship the damn thing it looks awesome, the unlockable co-op campaign set in Nicuragua is a brilliant idea, the lighting & smoke effects are very nice, animations are probably the best we've ever seen in-game, music sounds great, AI sounds very challenging, sounds great.
