Final Fantasy XIII [PS3, X360]

I think the trailer is just too melodramatic. [and long]
It looks like the game is going the FF8 route.

I like the eng voice acting btw.

I can't make screen capture at work but I thought it was kind of funny at 2:21 in the video. It has Lightning saying "No Complaints about the scenery." This part of the video takes place in one of the most complained about environments in the game.

Lipsync in eng trailer is great at some spots, i reminds me at Crisis Core [witch had totaly awesome lipsync tech]

I don't know whether it's the script or the acting, but the english translation seems to have taken a step backwards compared to Final Fantasy XII; which I consider to be perhaps the best voice acted game of all time, btw. Certain parts of the english trailer remind me of FFX's comically bad voice acting.

I wouldn't knock the voice acting going by a trailer alone.

Loved the trailer, FFXIII is one of my most anticipated games.

I'm not sure about the english voices, the japanese ones sound much more natural. The trailer touched me a little towards the end tough, so i guess it's ok :) I'm expecting a dramatic story with a relevant message, kinda like how japanese writers like to make them (some comedy is welcomed as well).

Based on the trailer, the CG scenes are quite possibly the best ever made so far.

Toriyama also shared some technical details on the game. Save data will take up 500KB. Trophy data takes up 3,080KB (yes, it looks like the game supports Trophies!). In case you were stocking up munitions for a big system wars battle, there won't be a hard disk installation.

Worried about load times? Don't be. The only time you'll see load times is when you transition from town to field. Once you're out on the field, the game is seamless. Toriyama explained that the game's tech staff tackled loading early on in order to keep the experience as smooth as possible.

I hope he's just referring to mandatory installation. I'd still want to be to install the game on 360 (all-discs) if just so I don't have to hear the drive.

'Only see load times when you transition from town to field' doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for some reason.

AlStrong: How many games on 360 don't allow installation? I can only think of Crackdown, are there others?

Earlier on, people were not happy when PS3 games have mandatory install.

If they can play from the Blu-ray drive straight, they'd be happy. We won't be taking the disc out in the middle of a game anyway.

I need the space for my family media which I keep on the PS3 HDD.

Only GT5P and Warhawk were released as BR and PSN games at the same time.
