DriveClub by Evolution Studios [PS4]

This game is so amazing, the critics who have panned this are just lol.....

Took a while but it feels like the way it should have launched, weather is just spectacular... not just in looks but in the wet driving mechanics too :)

Fixed width anyone? Can barely read posts like this.
 
Hurrah. Order approved. I should be able to driveclubbing this weekend at 60 fps*

*fake one, from TV's motion smoothing.
 
Once I've played accidentally driveclub with motion feature on on the tv but haven't noticed a lag.

And that too. Driveclub really isn't gonna work with lots of lag, and the artifacts created by the motion interpolation will basically kill all the nice little details you need to see. The game is very fluid as it is, even at 30fps.
For the love of God, turn it off! :D
 
If you play it casually, you probably won't notice the lag or you noticed it but still comfortable with it. But once you try to play competitively, the lag will kill you. I once tried to play a platformer with motion smoothing, I deemed it to be too annoying to make a perfect jump. I do like the smoother motion.
 
The lag and artefacts introduced with motion smoothing is not bothering me at all on dragon age, a bit annoying in destiny.

So I expect it will be fine on Driveclub.
 
Tried this game (borrowed if from the library) and it feels really meh. I really do not know what to blame (stage design, lack of map, low viewpoint, 30 fps or something else?) but I just thought that I rather play GT6 instead.
 
Hmph. Still getting server and connection issues.
Also haven't had a game with a decent number of players in a while. Games often fail to matchmake because no one else joins, and I'm getting frequent 2 or 3 player lobbies. :-/

I wonder if Evolution will ever fix this game or at some point just move on?!?

I hope their next Motorstorm :cool: doesn't have this problems.

Did not try motion control. Returned it to the library and went and bought gtav instead. Monster trucks are more fun than anything I tried in Drive Club!
