Preorders for the mgs5 pack have brought the Sony store to it's knees.

That's not saying a lot. . .Xbox360 weekly console numbers from Japan could bring the Sony store to its knees.

=)

Their store infrastructure flat out sucks, basically every PSN Tuesday it is guaranteed to be rocky for example.

Cheers

I think he wants to know why anyone would buy Knack separately if it already comes bundled with every new PS4 console. It's a simple question. How can you or anyone not understand that simple question?

edit: Do they now have stand alone units on sale also? edit2. Even if they do, they still have more Knack copies sold than PS4 consoles, maybe tourists are buying them?

I didn't think it was the most complicated question in the world. :???:

Anyway, I guess the fact it's a download code is probably the key; people wanting a physical copy.

....and some may have bought import consoles from elsewhere and now decided to add Knack to their list of games... and/or slightly different samples.

PS4 still going strong on Amazon. Still over 1k so I cant get a sales reading. What is this 3 days now?

BestBuy.com now has PS4 too, and Wal Mart has a bundle (from Nowinstock)

Good, means they actually have something to sell and in good quantities. I can't even remember the last time an online retailer had them in stock here in Canada.

They also had a streak back in early February where it was available for ~ a week.

Apparently the PS4 jumped from 40th to 6th for sales in March at amazon.com since it went in stock. It even jumped ahead of Titanfall (7th) and the Titanfall bundle (13th).

Will be interesting to see how many units Tifanfall moves. It could very well not move a lot of hardware and just have a high attach ratio. But I think the bundle will really help. March should be a close month.

500K doesn't seem bad if he's talking NA specifically.

Seems very high to me really. Then again IIRC MGS4 propelled PS3 to over 400k units that May. So maybe it's not so crazy.

At this point I'd probably be happy with something like 280k. It also depends on February NPD. It seems possible it could be quite bad for Xbox, but if it's not then it could also change my outlook.

Hmm that actually seems a little low to me. January and February PS4 ranked 3rd while XO ranked 16 and 23 respectively.

Perhaps the jump to "only" 6th is another indication of some slowdown. The caveat though is I think monthly only updates maybe every 24 hours, so future updates could see additional rises.

40th to 6th with just 2 days of sales, passing Titanfall (which releases in a few days and is when pre-orders usually spike) is an indication of a slowdown? If you say so.

The Titanfall bundle that was available all month for pre-order sits 13th, and the Standard Edition is 61st. I bet the ps4 climbs at least a few spots if it stays in stock for a day or more longer.

BTW, BB sold out already. Infamous bundle is still the top selling item at gamestop.

Sam's got 2 bundles in and Wal Mart got another bundle though. Total of 5 SKU's of availability at nowinstock compared to lately zero.

Best Buy sold out way quicker than Amazon and I'm guessing they sell way less. Must have been a comparatively small amount.

Edit: Ok two WM bundles dropped off in the last 5 mins lol. Not sure who is buying those when the bare console is available at Amazon, those people not too bright lol.

Yes, comparing to previous performance. If an athlete suddenly comes from the back of the pack to first place on lap 7 in a long distance race, yet his lap time has increased from 1:20 first lap to 1:30 this 7th lap, he has still slowed down; it's just he's slowed down less than his rivals. If PS4 was able to sell more units and rank higher in other months than it's done now, regardless of what the rivals do, PS4 will be showing a slow down.

If an athlete starts 40th and jumps 34 spots in 2/31 laps, I wouldn't consider that slowing down. ;)

The ps4 has only been in stock for 2 days. And it is going up against better competition in the month of March (ie the titanfall bundle and titanfall itself) which would naturally cause the Xbox live cards to spike from the boost in hardware sales.

I think we need to wait 1-2 more days and see where the ps4 sits before we can make any judgement. Or wait until there's less than 999 so we can see the pace it's selling.
