[360, PS3] Mass Effect 2 *(Spoiler Warning)

There is one character in my game that I'd like to remain dead. I don't know if any of the characters return to the game, but I want to make sure.

I say you take off and nuke the entire site from orbit...

...it's the only way to be sure. :devilish:

Am I right? ;D

I'm considering not using my ealier playthrough.

What's really bugging me is that in another interview Hudson mentioned that all the little decisions you made with say... that Citadel Fan... matters. -_- There's a lot of stuff! I figure they were tracking all the sidequest decisions too, which would be neat, but at the same time... how does this affect what you see in ME2? Does one just... miss out on alternatives then?

gah... too many permutations.

It might be something as simple as, the model appears and you go, hey I've seen you before. And the game moves on. :p

Something similar to how if you play a Mage in DAO and your choice to help/turn in your friend in the Mage tower will later "flavor" some dialog, but doesn't affect the storyline in anyway or open up new gameplay options much.

Regards,
SB

No, I mean, covering the important points from ME1, if they're really going to factor in importantly into ME2. Especially since ME1 is sort of a drag to play through, especially multiple times.

Man, ME2 is my most anticipated game at the moment...I always have the feeling that games with this cool science fiction setting are under representated!

Here we go:

Casey Hudson said:
The way it works is that if you import an ME1 character, that sets all the backstory details of what has happened so far. If you start from scratch, there is a set of default events that work better for new players to the ME universe....

Then, when you get through the intro, you have a conversation where you are asked a few questions - if you are in an imported character, they're just testing your memory and will tell you if your answer is wrong. But if you have a new character, you are able to set some last details through the answers to your questions.

Rest of the Best Buy "chat".

Good thing that I have saves for pretty much every time of ending :)

P.S.[Except Kaiden who lived, always ! :) since I couldn't tolerate Ashley's racist rants, though she did have some memorable quotes xD ]

So this is what it defaults to if you don't follow your save? I don't want to read that link because of spoiler potential. I'm really hoping Ashley will stay dead in my game.

Since we're unspoilering, according to that David Ellis thing he said that the NPC that wasn't a romantic opportunity based on your character's gender would be dead. So Ashley for females, Kaidan for males.

As to the council... I really hope not.

dang it level 36... should have hung in there for a little longer before trading it in :)

interesting

[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Guest-416: Hey, Casey. Will it be possible to change the outlooks and attitudes of squadmates? For instance, can we talk Miranda around to being a little less icehearted if we are a paragon sheperd? Cuz she's super good looking, but a little scary personality wise....

CaseyH-ME2: Yes, talking to your squadmembers definitely causes them to change over time. And Miranda is a great example. Obviously if there is a lot more to these characters than their exterior, you can imagine how developing a relationship with her would allow you to see a side of her other than her cold, genetically-engineered exterior.

mmm.... perhaps similar to Dragon Age's system?

I hope players can talk to party members (the actual discussions) while away from the ship. I hated the elevator ride down to the mako bay just to do all that. :|

So let's say I kill Kaiden and import a female shepard. Both are dead? :devilish:

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get this game. If I do, I'll preoder it because I want that black hole weapon. I guess I'll need to decide soon.

Will this game have co-op, or would that ruin all the goddamn talking?

Nah, I meant on the default route. I guess they also assume that there was a romance with one of the humans.

mmm.... guess I'll find out what happens with the Liara romance.

I wonder how I'll get the blood dragon armour in here since I bought the PC version of Dragon Age... (I'm getting 360 version of ME2). EA's website registration BS sounds likely. hum...

I think they firmly said no multi in any fashion. A shame... would be nice just to have a drop-in/drop-out co-op buddy in the player party. I suppose there's the matter of who decides which character Player Two gets to use, as that has an effect on what the first player wants to see in the game vs how player two wants to play.
