That's a software issue. The dash is the same in all models.

$80 could buy you a high quality, 22AWG, 50ft HDMI cable. A high quality 6 - 10 ft HDMI cable is only going to run you $16 - $22, if you're shopping in the right places. That's not say that I don't think the Elite is a value (I do), it's only to say the HDMI cable is hardly part of that value, IMO. Although general customer perception is likely quite different on that point.

The real cost of a 6' HDMI cable is probably less than $2. I bought mine for $7.
