X360 games and PS3 games statistics

Er, I'm a bit confused with totals/exclusives. See, there are 284 games for the X360 and 109 of those are exclusives; this means that the other 175 are multiplatform and will be released on the PS3 too? But there are only 184 announced games on that console so I don't see how tihs adds up.

There are other plattforms than PS3. Lot of the X360 games were launched before the PS3 was out, but you could find versions of the game on PS2 etc..

Just browsed the PS3 list, here are some corrections:

Coded Arms: Assault - Cancelled
L.A. Noire - Multiplatform
Gundam Muso - Multiplatform
Heavy Rain - Multiplatform
Omikrom 2 - Multiplatform
Gran Turismo 5 - missing from CAR sheet (Unbelieveable:))
Tekken 5 - This is a PSN download title.
Gretzky NHL '07 - PS3 Exclusive not listed.
My Summer Vacation 3 - PS3 Exclusive not listed.
White Knight Story - PS3 Exclusive not listed.

There is a very good PS3 games list maintained at GAF.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120957&highlight=PS3+release+list

Announced titles: 160
Exclusives:89

The different in numbers from the .xls gives you an idea how poor Gamespot is at keeping this stuff uptodate.

Devil May Cry 4 should probably not be classed as a Shooter.

I'll browse the Xbox360 list when I get a chance.

Just taken a look at the Xbox list.

Why don't you indicate how many games have been released so-far, this goes for both lists.

Saint's Row - been announced for PS3.
Thesis - On both PS3 and X360 list, but marked as exclusive on the 360 list.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles - This is an Expansion pack according to GameSpot link.
Dead or Alive 5 / Dead or Alive Code: Cronus - Duplicate title?
Ridge Racer 6 - Unmarked Exclusive

There was no announcement for SR on PS3.
Thesis is PC/360 only.
DoA5 and Code Cronus are different games (though there was no official DoA5 announcement for any platform)

No official announcement from the Publisher, but a PS3 port is all but comformed. *See edit

See this news report

For a good analysis I would always recommend GAF. See this thread for a thorough discussion of the potential for a PS3 port.

*Edit

THQ officially confirms Saint's Row for PS3.

I agree. A list like this should only be what's official.

Someone said earlier that DOA5 hadn't been officially announced?

I'm sure there are a few games on both lists that are vapourware. I wouldn't take the Gamespot generated list too seriously, it is no more valid that the EB release list.

Anyway, I'll just keep adding changes as I see them on GAF. The crowd there is pretty thorough about weeding out fake news. I trust them more than Gamespot.

Latest update today. Kane & Able: Dead Men announced for PS3.

This was already going to the PC and going by the developers history they are happy to handle multi-platform development. It's marked as an Xbox360 Exclusive on the .xls.

Apparently Atari distribute Edios titles in Australia and it has appeared on the Atari Australia release list, not just for the Ps3, but PS2 and PSP aswell:)

Just browsing the two .xls sheets again. :)

King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 360 (EXCLUSIVE) - This appears to be coming out on the PS3 aswell, so it is not an exclusive. King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 3 is already on the PS3 .xls.

It is very unclear if KoF:MI 360 is a different game to KoF:MI 3.

According to GAF posters in the Xbox360 '07 release list thread,

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5389964&postcount=203

It would appear that KoF:MI 360 has been cancelled in favour of KoF:MI 3.

Further digging would indicate that SNK have deserted the Xbox360 completely, due to their in-abiiity to meet Microsoft minimum HD requirements with their titles.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4447616&postcount=39

I think we can be confident that it is no longer exclusive to the Xbox360 as indicated on the .xls, with the usual caveat that there is no official publisher announcement to confirm this. Hopefully a KoF title will still make it to the Xbox360.

Two new PS3 titles to add to the list:

Sony Liverpool are developing Wipeout for the PS3.

This is revealed in this months "develop" magazine.

http://www.developmag.com/files/cove.../Dev69_web.pdf

The article also talks about Media Molecule a start-up formed from former Lionhead employees. They are developing a PS3 title for Sony too.

The tilt function of the Sixaxis controller should be especially suited to Wipeout.

OH MY GOD!

Flatout is such a party game. The multiplayer modes will be great on Live! (sorry for the OT).

the xls file says WEPES2007 is coming to PS3. It has never been announced, and FIFA 06:RTWC for XB360 should be exclusive

Then again I'm sleepy and off to bed, so it's probably my mistake here.

How about cross-gen multiplatform titles that don't make it to the PS3? :p e.g. Madden 06

I found this page and was reminded of this thread. I thought it might be interesting to revisit this subject now that over 4 months have passed.
