Sadly internet is not unrestricted and fast to everyone, and will most likely remain that way in foreseeable future. For large segment of gamers, retail represents the only way to manage their gaming collections.



BTW, game director unveiled that the game will have two core "timelines" that will branch out from one decision made early in the game. This decision will have impact on the tone of the game and will change the gameplay in some way. He is reccomending 2 playthroughs throuh the [up to] 20hr SP campaign.

About the Doom4 beta thingy, if you pre-order, they've not said a word of when that might start, have they?

So it could be a year off from now. Or more. You'd think any sane, reasonable company would know better than not advertising a beta program for a game with a launch date that is unreasonably far off into the distance, but with bethesda who the fuck knows...

Considering there is no PR talk about Doom4......yeah doesn't seem like it's coming soon.

I'm not preordering this. I'm gonna wait to find out if it is any good and maybe watch for a discount because those seem to come out of the woodwork a week or two after release.

Random people have started getting the game via post office. PS4 day1 patch is 5GB, Xbone day1 patch is 7.3GB.

Scene group 'COLLATERAL' has already leaked the PS3 version of the game that can be played right away - provided you have jailbroken your console. Furthermore, reports from torrent sites states that Xbox 360 build of Wolfenstein: The New Order will be available for download soon. As usual, the PC version has not been leaked yet, proving that piracy is a big issue even on consoles. The PC version of Wolfenstein: The New Order is powered by Steam’s DRM, meaning that it will not be leaked until the game has been unlocked on various regions. Wolfenstein: The New Order is currently scheduled for a May 20th release on PC and consoles.

Every oldgen game leaks week or two before its release, just one early shipped copy can trigger worldwide leak.

We shall see how much time will pass before PS4 and XBone are broken. X360 was broken in a less then a year, PS3 took more than 4 years. Nextgen consoles are much better secured, so I dont expect any imediate homebrew developments.
