What Exclusive Games does Xbox have That could...

Lead you to stick with Xbox 360 over the PS3??

As it is now there are just a Ton of Cool games on Ps2 and a *Few* amazing games on Xbox. Like Jade Empire for instance. Ps2 has Cold Fear and some other similarly outstanding games.

My Question..

Is Halo3 and one or Two other games over a year a good enough reason to get a Xbox 360 over the Very impressive PS3? I really dont see how Xbox 360 can match up at this point considering the Titles on each console couppled with the "specs and features" the PS3 has.

Microsoft needs to get DEEEEEEPER pockets and get some of those PS3 games on their system with perhaps an advantage in FSAA and Shader effects. Well have to see.

I think M$ is in troubble this time around. They are not competing againt a weaker console riddled with jaggies and difficult to program for. This is Bread and butter programming for the most part and Nvidia Cg and all the rest of their developer tools.

The fact they competed against a weaker (technically speaking) console last time, didn't have any affect on which was the most popular platform.

Thats my point.

They had a "shot" at the market because they were preceived to be the better console. and in fact Were the better console. Therefore people got into Xbox because it was "Cool" and had better graphics.

Thats not the case this time at all it seems. Where does Microsoft get its footing?

Your opinion only.
I happen to love a large number of Xbox games, yet can find virtually nothing on PS2 that interestes me.

MS gets a footing by being available before PS3, showing next-gen games right away and giving a direct upgrade-path for XB owners. Then it's knuckling down to a hard slog to try and compete with the Sony brand-name.

Interestingly it seems to me the market has divided into XB360 vs. PS3 and Rev vs. PS3. I don't hear people talking about Nintendo competing with MS again despite that was their competitor this time round. May that's just because they're all aiming for the top spot and don't care for second place?

If the 360 will let me play halo2 at 720p with plenty of AA and AF, I'd pay $400 no problem. Other than that I can't say any of the prospects laid out so far really have me enthused, but at this point nothing is even finished yet and I'm not one to get excited over hopes and dreams.

One thing I'd really like to see the 360 pull of is what Live promised back in the day; massive multiplayer gaming environments. An example I recall is Amped where you log onto a ski resort with hundreds of other gamers across the mountain side. The same could be done with various sports games where everyone plays a position and many other genres as well. With a closed matchmaking system of Live and proximity voice communication you could really open up gaming to a wider audience while also providing a competitive experience for more dedicated gamers.

Shifty is spot on with his post and Riddlewire has met your other point, the games are entirely down to *your* opinion.

Personally I'm much like Riddlewire, I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I'm not a big fan of the GTA games (loved the first, not so much the rest) and I got bored of Gran Turismo somewhere in the middle of GT2. There are plenty of games on XBox that I do enjoy however.
The difference is I'm not going to state that XBox definitely has the better games library, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal taste.

I think that's the point he was trying to make. It's quite obvious that Xbox owners will love their Xbox popular franchises on Xbox360 - I think the more relevant and interesting question is, how do the 60+ million other gamers that bought a PS2 and not an Xbox stand towards Xbox360?

As being one of them, I can, sadly, say that I don't see any that interest me. PGR3 might be one of them, but after seeing what kind of arcady game they're going after, I just lost interest. I'm not interested in Halo either, so that only leaves a few others. As it stands, I'm not excited about Xbox360 at all, since it doesn't have any software I'm interested in. Maybe the japanese support will change my mind over time.

maybe because nobody knows anything about revolution really?

See that is the GREAT thing about more than one console in competition. Different games for different people's tastes.

All I can say is an FPS is never, EVER going to pull me towards any console instead of a computer. (Until the systems converge, I suppose.) I don't want to play a console with keyboard and mouse, and there are quite simply a lot of games that suffer from the lack thereof.

I'll be looking towards the puzzle, action, fighting, and other games that have been "console-y" from the beginning. And more importantly the improvements they bring TO those genres. Also the "other peripheral" games (light guns, dance pads, music controllers, cameras, etc), since they're much more "living room" activities than "computer desk" ones.

I do wish FPS'es would stop drawing so much damn attention on the consoles... but ah well.

Overall, though, I don't tend to buy consoles until later in their lifespan. I'll live vicariously through friends, but I'm much more of a PC gamer, and consoles I tend to want to pick up for their unique games and "party multiplayer" ones. So mainly it will depend what each deliver at what point, and what the adoption costs are at the time.

My next major acquisition is bound to be a PS2, though, to catch up on all the Bemani titles, now that there's a plethora of them out there. ;)

There is nothing .

Gta 3 is great on sony . But why take it away ? make a gta killer

That is what ms should do . Invest in making thier own franchises that they control that way there is no worry about sony getting them .
