I wonder if that's the problem - designed for a pad, and not really for a wheel? It looks to me from all the many posts and threads all over the place since GRID was released that it's something that needs fixing in the game, not something that's ever going to be right just by tweaking the wheel/settings.
Such a shame because GRID is such a good looking game with a big variety of cars, tracks, and race styles, but without good control at the wheel, it's a complete deal breaker.
they have a sticky that says "Quick check: is there anybody with XP SP3 who does NOT have a problem running the game? Raise thy hands please."
I love this one
"If you meet the minimum requirements, but still have very low frames per second, then most likely your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is not being used by the game. "
Reinstalled Mass Effect for the Bring down the Sky DLC (yawn), thought I'd play through as a soldier and keep my save game files. Also trying to finish up Storm of Zehir so I can buy Mysteries of Westgate for NWN2. And there's always LOTRO, got my level 60 rune-caster a 1st age rune-stone during a raid last weekend.
yesterday I went on yet another quest to uncover and liberate more of the gaming goodness
and in game i found vietcong 2 for £2.99
also in a charity shop I found empire combat flight collection 2
that contains those two large slices known as enemy engaged apache vs havoc and its sequel enemy engaged comanche vs hokum
and those of you that study the goodness will of course know that they can be linked together so you can play apache havok in the comanche hokum engine I allready own these but for 99p its worth buying for a backup
also for 99p i bought motocross madness 2 and when i opened it up behind the motorcross madness cd was ford racing 2001 - this is a sign from the gaming gods they reward the devout...
Replaying Two Worlds past week or so. (little vacation). lost all old saves, this time around im playing as an archer, and LOVING it (was sword slinger last time, thought archer was too awkward, apparently that must've been me. it's not so good with moving targets (ala oblivion, gothic3) unless they're coming right for you. but still fun.
I certainly do there was a certain mission I could never complete (didnt help that my pc was a bit slow for it) and back then I had no internet so couldnt find any skip mission cheats
Hmmm, I never played the original X-wing. I did get into X-wing: Alliance, though, which was quite a good game. I suspect that on average, X-wing: Alliance is worlds easier than X-wing, but there are a few missions in Alliance that are just hell to finish (they did include a mission skip feature, though, so most of the time this wasn't an issue...main story missions could not be skipped, naturally).
I'm stuck on mission 8 right now in Tour 1. It's a mission where you're flying a Y-Wing and you have to inspect ~12 transports to find the 2 that are carrying prisoners, then you have to disable these transports and fend off wave after wave of TIE Fighters and Interceptors while protecting 2 of your own transports on a rescue mission. Have tried ~10 times so far with no luck.
I feel like if I had a B-Wing which is the only other Rebel fighter with ion cannons I could probably pull the mission off but the Y-Wing is just too slow to get the job done, especially against TIE Interceptors.
I may just have to skip this mission but I'd like to try to beat the game without cheats.
After this its on to TIE Fighter, arguably the best space combat sim ever released and certainly among the best games Lucas Arts has ever put out.
