What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

I play mostly:
- Alien: Isolation
- Crysis 3 campaign
- GTA V Online

Unfortunately, I do not like the singleplayer from GTA V.

Mad Max
It's a very good game, but it does make you realise there is a template for sandbox games and devs have been following it for a long time
re-skinned this could be mordor or assassins creed or farcry 4
Go to vantage point to discover new areas, collect things, buy upgrades for yourself, improve your base, attack enemy bases when defeated they are colonised by your allies.
Clear areas of enemy, by lowering their influence, taking over bases, destroying items of propaganda ect.

I'm thinking I'll start Arkham Knight today. I bought the nVidia code from someone 2 months ago for 12€ and the game should be adequately patched now. I hope it runs good now.

It's actually a formula I like. It's ridiculous I keep buying the same basic games over and over again but I thoroughly enjoyed Far Cry 4 and that was shamelessly similar to Far Cry 3. I also liked Black Flag, Shadows of Mordor and Unity (oh and Batman). How much do shooters and third person open world games really differ when you get down to it?

What's wrong with us collectively as gamers!?! :runaway:

Started a game of Anno 1404 last night. Such an incredibly underrated series. Except 2070. That sucked.

Didn't get to start the Batman yesterday... Today I got an email from GoG saying that my store credit is about to expire, didn't even know I had some credit in there. I had 6.30 euros of credit and there was also 1€ halloween discount for Heart of Stone, so I ended up paying 2.69€ for it haha :)
Now I'm thinking I'll probably play that before the Batman.

Hearts of Stone was actually really good. The story was way better than the main game (Bloody Baron excluded).

500 hours later and I'm still playing Rocket League. Surprisingly deep game with a very simple concept. More addictive than crack.

Finished the Heart of Stone main quest yesterday. Got around 15 hours from it by doing some other stuff too. I think I can put couple more into it. Liked it very much. It was nice to get back into the world of Witcher :) Olgierd looked little bit like David Beckham imo haha. Maybe tomorrow I'll fire up the Batman.

Playing Trine 2 with my 4 year old helping me out. Utterly gorgeous game on my 34" 21:9 monitor w/4xSSAA and a lot of fun. My boy has helped my get through a bunch of puzzles :)

Starcraft 2 : Legacy of the Void (single player campaign). Should've gone to bed hours ago but it's had me hooked so far.

Besides that more Rocket League. Big new patch out with mutators (remember those from UT2004?). Best £15 I've spent on a game. Getting a PS4 controller for it tomorrow as the 360 one fucks up my hands if I use it too much. It's been so addictive I've been playing through the pain but enough is enough.

So along with my usual time spent in Anarchy Online, I've been playing Trine 2 which is a lot of fun and really gorgeous game. I installed Dishonored but I must be too attuned to modern games as the graphics seem very poor. I just picked up Hand of Fate, Beseige and Elite: Dangerous from Steam sale. The Hand of Fate I'm currently going through, a very well presented and different game and is fantastic on my 21:9 monitor as if it was made for it.

The original Crysis, on my Windows 10 PC. It seems that if you have Crysis installed, and then update to Windows 10, Crysis is likely to still run. If however you install Windows Windows 10, then install Crysis, you might be in for some "fun".
I was playing Crysis on my older PC, which I just updated to Windows 10. It was a bit agonizing how the game wouldn't use all of my cpu and gpu, but it ran. So I figured I'd download it again from my Amazon account (got it super inexpensive during a sale) and install it on my newer PC, which has Windows 10. Couldn't get the game to run even though I tried all the "BIN64" folder tricks, and compatibility mode. Long story short, I found a solitary post that quietly said running the installer in compatibility mode was what was needed.
That did the trick. And using a custom resolution like 1920x1081p by way of The nVidia Control Panel gave me a way to uses adaptive v-sync without 24 fps being forced on me. That's a well known bug, but I'd forgot about it.
P.S. I have a Sony HDTV as my monitor and I found I have to change "Content type to the display" in The nVidia Control Panel from its default, to "Full-screen videos", in order to get full access to my Sony's display menu. And with my AMD card there's a different default setting that needs to be changed. It's name escapes me.
