Sharkfood said:Well, it's obvious why NVIDIA makes 3D hardware and isnt into movie making/cinematography.
These videos are obviously not meant to be taken seriously and a nice change for NVIDIA. But making them as low-budget/B-movie and corny as they are, they are setting themselves up for some serious heckling... from which I *know* they are expecting.

Well, that's the idea of this particular kind of marketing concept. It's what could be called "image marketing", accentuated by little "factoids" (which have of course been put through the marketing shredder). This campaign doesn't WANT to inform people about the NV30. That's what's going to happen next Monday the earliest, sort-of-"real" information. This thing is supposed to serve as an awareness raiser. And reading through the boards I have to say: it worked tremendously well.Kristof said:The issue I have with this is : This is the fourth video and not a single one has said anything substantial about their new product. The only message they seem to send out is that NVIDIA rules (Then again this is also good Marketing).
But soo much marketing material avoiding the actual product and soo much marketing stressing about how great they are... makes you wonder if the actual product is not good enough to fill these 4 videos.
