Since the old one was for 2019 drivers, I suppose there could be a new one up to date.

Radeon Software 20.5.1 for Windows 7 & 10 out, includes support for May 2020 Update so WDDM 2.7?

Apparently the new Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling feature isn't supported, though

Yes, driver caps say 'not supported'. Not sure what's the expected effect of this option - some explanations link it to improved thread synchronisation and preemption of DMA transfers in Dxgkrnl scheduler, to resolve issues with video playback and multi-monitor sync...

Supposedly you might get some gains if you're held back by your CPU, but in general differences are within margin of error if there is any.
(this is based on the non-serious performance tests aka forum posts)

HAGS seems to be mostly about better management of VRAM limited cases than any CPU limitations. Should provide better results on 4GB cards probably, which in AMD's case means none at the moment as the driver support only 5600 and 5700 cards.

After watching gamers nexus video on it, it seems more about offloading the cpu, with the gpu managing more stuff. For vram, I would say hbcc is already here for amd...

Have you watched the video ? His whole point was "for now it does nothing, except performance degradation due to a bug un rdr2". Give it time. Or at least be honest when you put a screenshot here.

I haven't watched the whole video but the graphs clearly show that there's about zero gain in CPU limited scenarios. While there are a lot of evidence where HAGS help in VRAM limited scenarios. Hence my original comment. Is there any evidence to the contrary that you can provide?

Watch the video for context and explanations.

EDIT : I'm not saying we don't/won't see improvements with memory management, but the main goal seems to me to go easy on the cpu, as it is explained in the video (with quotes from MS). It's just way too soon to see right now.

Again: do you have any evidence to back up what you're saying?

Don't tell me to watch a video for "explanations" - I know perfectly well what HAGS is supposed to be doing without them.

confirmed by a bunch of commentators on my youtube channel: Radeon cards from GCN to latest can do Dolby Digital encoding in realtime over HDMI with official driver, as long as the dolby APO driver is installed. While Nvidia needs modded driver but for very few cases, the official driver also work (still not sure what's the cause).
