Boba Fett also had this mystery stuff, no face, no past, so it was open to the viewer's imagination.

The prequels kinda ruined that with a far too simple story and a clone (Jango Fett) but then again it was the same for Darth Vader...

Han Solo starts as a cold blooded mercenary who cares only about money and ends up as a freedom fighter because of a love affair that eventually grows into a family.

Drake is an Indiana Jones clone with a bigger sense of humor, I think we can all agree to that.
Indiana Jones is an archeologist who actually cares about archeology and teaches the subject at the University at some point. Indiana Jones, in the movies, series, books, etc. keeps saying "this thing belongs to a museum" when he finds something important. He was never a mercenary archeologist who tries to sell stuff to rich guys, as Han Solo would do.

Although both the characters share that same smuggish attitude (probably because they're both originally played by the same actor at around the same age, duh), Indiana Jones has little to do with Han Solo at heart.
