Wasn't sure where to put this so, new thread! Eurogamer (and others) are reporting Amy Hennig has joined Visceral Games:

Eurogamer said:
Amy Hennig - best known as the director of Uncharted and co-director of subsequent Uncharteds - has landed a role at Dead Space developer Visceral Games where she'll be serving as creative director on the studio's upcoming Star Wars title.

I expect another 3rd person action-adventure game from her, but this time with SW characters that will be memorable [anyone remembers Starkiller?].

Excellent; Visceral have Artstyle/Graphics and Gameplay down, Amy will bring a solid story with good characters and high quality set pieces.
This Star Wars game is going to be top class.

Uncharted director working on next Star Wars game made by Visceral.

All I see is 1313 being picked up, this time without George Lucas screwing up the project with sudden changes every month that screwed most of the team's efforts.

Probably she is gonna use some of the Uncharted elements and bring them all to a new or existing sci-fi games. It would be interested to see.

I look forward to Darth Drake and Sith master, Lord Sully.

A Star Wars game with a good story is definitely welcome. I really liked Jedi Knight II: Outcast and the followup Academy. Oh that the Gamecube game - jeeze, forgotten the name.

Hey! Its 35 years later. Maybe we can get a more mature reimaging of ewoks. 3 foot furballs from hell that eat humans and build weapons from their bones.

How about that eat Jar Jar Binks Binks? Because, nobody - not PETA, not Human Rights Watch, not Liberty, would object to that.

Can't imagine any creature looking at Jar Jar Binks as edible. He looks like a humanoid snail. Maybe ewoks could see them as a delicacy like a star wars version of escargot?

I know people say "Star War 1313". However, I am having a hard time seeing what Amy can do for Boba Fett. Dude has a personality of a brick and I can't imagine him running around with a wisecracking sidekick.

So I don't see an Uncharted like story anywhere in the picture unless it something other than a revival of 1313.

Boba Fett only got to 1313 in the very latest stages, by imposition of George Lucas.
None of the demos they showed had Boba or Jango Fett.
AFAIK, by the time of the first unveil at Gamescom, the whole team had just got the word that everything had to be about Boba Fett - AFTER the demo was already done and ready to show to the public.

I wonder if George Lucas liked what he saw so much that he intended to somehow honor the devs by giving them a known character. Whatever it was, it ended up shitting all over the work of Lucasarts.

But yes, I agree that Boba Fett (or Jango Fett) isn't interesting at all.
He's mute, cold, doesn't interact, doesn't talk, doesn't do anything funny, doesn't really have an interesting back-story, nothing.
People (me included) probably only liked him back in the 80's and 90's because he has a friggin' jetpack with a friggin' rocket on top.
At least the guys who appeared in the videos had a personality.

Actually Drake and Solo aren't that different.......

IMHO they're both a variation of the same archetype, one could easily come up with a lot of precedents from movies and books and such.

Although Solo had this whole character arc with Leia and the carbon freezing that made him very different at the end - I wonder if there's such a thing in Drake's future.
