UC4: Best looking gameplay? *SPOILS*

If everything is equal.

Well, to be fair, ISS is almost as good if not better in some situations.

It's a direct feed in-game screenshot. If fou don't believe me : http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-27-infamous-second-son-tech-gallery

I have ISS and it doesn't look that sharp on my TV. Sorry, not buying it. I've played through the game.

It's a common practice in racing games... not in other games... as far as i know, there is no difference between gameplay/photo mode in ISS, The Order 1886 and Uncharted 4.

However, since Uncharted 4 uses TAA, it can produce (sometimes) some artifacts/aliasing during motion. You won't really see it in motion though, only in static pictures.

I have The Order too.. and again, you can see the jagged edges. The image is not as sharp as my 4k gameplay on my 49" with PC games, so please stop trying to make 1080p/AA seem like it looks as good as 4k.

Almost aliasing free.

Are you serious?

What are all those black lines around the character, rocks (look to the right side screen)?

Here is my standard in forests:

Here's a screen capture of Batman:AK water shader (and yes, it has light propagation).. still looks better to me than what I've seen of the UC4's water:

Yea, well, no excuses right? The rendering errors are jarring. ;)

In screenshots? Maybe. No game with TAA looks perfect in stills during motion, The Division, QB, ME:C, U4, FO4, Battlefront and others. In motion (when you are playing the game) it looks sublime(depending on the implementation).

That's non-interactive water, for all we know it's all pre-calculated(because it doesn't need to do anything else, they can spend resources more efficiently elsewhere).

It's like VFX dude is gathering a whole bunch of multiplatform games including Ryse, Tomb Raider, Batman, AssCreed Unity and then selectively choosing the best features of each respective titles and putting them all together against one single UC4, a real fair battle isn't it:LOL:? ND must feel humbled indeed.

It should be apparent what VFX_Veteran is by now. I'd say if you aren't a fellow xbox fanboy you may as well add him to your ignore list. If you are expecting him to praise anything on a Sony console, no matter how ridiculous his arguments against a game are then you are in for a very long wait.

He adds no value, I guess he's only still around as a certain mod is loving his trolling of Sony fans.

Photomode doesn't super-sample the image like Driveclub by the way. The TAA used in the game is good enough for that :p

One of hundreds of offices in the game. This is inside the famous Time Square police building. If you go here 4-6 meters the right you will be in the midst of the Time Square. Scope and detail are very close together.

This lamp on the right has quite a lot polygons for a third person open world Shooter.

Nathan Drake gameplay screengrabs (no photomode, this is just the camera close to character)

Posted this on accurate human rendering... These are gameplay screengrabs (thanks to nib95! from gaf) not photomode(not that it matters other than providing a still image for TAA to work on), i repeat this is gameplay (you can see the slight dithering on his hair for example, that would only happen in motion) :runaway:

This is insane.

No cups filled with pens. Uncharted wins!

(it's the beta multiplayer though)

ISS can also have some (very rare) issues

Camera acceleration is waaaay too slow, like in MP. Ugh. It's really odd to have such a sluggish camera in an action packed scene IMO.

Nates seems kinda slow, too, sometimes it feels the action is in slow motion, when it's not (and framerate is stable). How is the input lag?
