I think you're confusing motion blur for brushstrokes. It is different from the others in having a black border, but it doesn't look like concept art to me.

The jungle views are certainly lush. It'll be important to see how much freedom Drake has to push through the jungle, and if/how the foliage reacts. Certainly a stylish art direction - very similar to Flashback!
 

i dont know if farcry instinct has the same level of tech, but this game looked far above instinct. this has some of the best foliage effect since crysis.
 
technically it should compete with Far Cry Instincts Predator for xbox360

You're either (way) underestimating this game technical level or (way) overestimating Far Cry Instincts... :LOL:

Otherwise, except for the amount of AA, the shots seem to have captured all the magnificence of the demo... + better lighting I think ! Please, release a video !
 

Foliage is leaning toward Drake and the animation will surely be better as well, but I think the water in FCI360 will still be better though. ;)
 
From the little that I've heard about this game, realistic foliage has been at the forefront of buzzwords. Is this pretty foliage destructable or just pretty?

I didn't find screenshots of FC: Instincts Predator with much foliage (like a walk in the djungel) but there are thoose. But I'll whait until ND releases a video then to make a better judgement of the game. And if I am incorrect in most/all aspects then I'll stand corrected!

That point was more a respect nod to the water they did in FCI360 than anything else. ;)

Looks so clean, fresh and good that I just want to jump in and take a dip!
But I expect NDs game to have water that challenges FCI360 water.
 
It should also be pointed out that while these screenshots look amazing they do not really do a good job of capturing the quality of this game's foliage. You need to look to the actual gameinformer magazine pictures to see just how awesome the foliage really looks, especially the image of him climbing the tree.
 
More color in 2007 is nice and it seems to have more geometry and better art in general, but the 2006 bump-mapped moss textures were neat, shame to see them go.
 
Am i the only one prefering the 2006 target render lighting?
The latest ones look too bloomy to my taste, having brick and mud walls with a "light aura" (its also used on the first comparison shot of the character model) doesnt feel immersing to my eyes.

Besides that everything looks pretty much a good job on matching the old target render.
