think Xbox could've handled VF4?

I think the Xbox could've handled a near identical port of VF4 and even Evo.

not that Xbox couldn't handle an exact port, because in many ways, Xbox is superior to Naomi2, while in others, it's a bit worse. overall, an Xbox version could've surpassed the arcade in many areas (model complexity)
while perhaps not quite matching the arcade in others areas (memory)

I remember an interview or something where the developer said Naomi2 is better than Xbox in transparancies, but that Xbox arcade hardware is just as powerful or more powerful than Naomi2.

don't see why not.

aprat from sections of mad lighting VF4 is not exactly lighting the world on fire you know

Tecmo first Xbox game, DOA3 looks sweet.

I fail to see the relevence of the above post, unless your saying based on the performence of that (DOA3) engine Xbox should be able to 'handle' it.

PS: this isn't a knock against you just pointing out that random posts can be read a lot of ways.

Yes, the Xbox can handle the game just fine. It could look the same, but with added textures and I'm guessing much more graphics horsepower it could do it much better. Not so much a guess really.

Too bad we'll never see it :?

considering how VF4 turned out as a port on PS2, I really think they could have made a near perfect conversion if the talent, effort and experience had been there. So, yes, a Xbox perfect port I think should be possible. ;)

I dont think anyone has a doubt, XB can handle VF4! Thank god! It didnt turn into another gurrilla warzone.... ;)

It depends what light types are being used. If VF4 is using the most complex of light types (i.e. spots with angle + distance fall off) then I suspect that XBox might struggle to match the T&L.
