I found this link in avsforums and think it`s interesting, the thing is quite a complex construction

Wow very cool and interesting write up.

That pickup looks very complicated compared to ones I've seen in standard DVD drives. No wonder it is so expensive.

Someone should rip apart a HD-DVD drive and compare the OPUs side by side with the BR.

Edit: Oh now I see they do have the HD-DVD pick up in there too. Nice

I guess it´s the most expensive part in the Blu-Ray drive.
