I don't think so. From what everyone is saying, we're going to get a chip with near GTS performance and it's going to barely be bigger than RV630. It'll completely obliterate the midrange.Also, if G92 is really as underwhelming as CJ says then Nvidia deserves a kick in the nuts.
Who knows what pricing will be, but it'll either give us a huge performance boost over the 8600/2600 for a small premium in price, or NVidia will earn a really fat margin at a larger price. Either way, it's a very smart decision.
