It was hard to detect on the vids.
As for the cause, this animation is sake of 30fps.

It's very noticeable in the demo.
The game performs better in outdoor environment compared to indoors....thats odd.

to be honest, tearing a part, I haven found the fps acceptable on the ps3, nothing of drammatic but I haven't try the 360 to do a direct comparison...PS3 version of Mafia 2 demo runs terrible, low framerate and lots of tearing...

I can't say the same about the 360 demo, very disappointing performance and the tearing is completely ridiculous.

The perception of tearing not depending only to the torn percentual but more where it's collocate in the screen...Wow I am surprised to see PS3 having more tearing. From word on the forums I thought it was the reverse or perhaps the PS3 tearing is less noticable.
