They still havent learned how to model natural lighting
You can have the best car models with the best textures but if the lighting models crap, the game will look like crap.

Che said the pictures were taken in-game while paused, not in photo mode. In a later post he said while playing the game the blurring will be turned off (something I've been hoping to hear).
A quick note about screenshots in general. If you look at our screenshots gallery page, you'll notice that Forza Motorsport 2's overall lighting, and look of the car shaders varies wildly from one batch to the next.
Why is that? It's because each environment in Forza Motorsport 2 features its own unique ambience, tuned to a vision established by Turn 10's art director John Wendl and executed on by his art team. So for instance, Tsukuba has a searing high dynamic range mid-afternoon sun-baked exposure, while Mugello looks lush and green, almost cool to the touch. As we release more screens in the weeks to come, also keep in mind that car shaders and visual lighting are also some of the last settings to get tweaked (just like framerates). So even though we're creeping ever closer to release, consider these pics captured from a work-in-progress.
I've read this and understand that the environments have different lighting, etc.... I was just hoping turn10 would make the games lighting look less like Forza 1's shaders. GT4 had more realistic lighting than forza 1 due to being toned down and wasn't overdone. Forza is my favorite racing game and I trust Forza2 to have very realistic physics, it would just be nice to have graphics as realistic as the gameplay. From forzamotorsport homepage:
Maybe, maybe not???????I had heard him say it CAN be turned off, not it will be.

Che: "Let me just say this for the record: Motion Blur Will Not Turned On During Gameplay."

The blur is caused mostly due to my crappy phone camera not being able to snap the game moving at 60fps without causing blur

interesting... I read his comment about 2 months ago so that quote is more recent... but regarding your question about blur, he also answers that there...
My wish exactly, i hoped that they would try to make the graphics more realistics, aspecially after seing GTHD.
Oh well, maybe PGR4 will bring the graphcis
To be fair, GTHD has 2D backgrounds and no damageable models, both I am sure would put higher load on the engine.
and one car
I'm sure FM2 is at the stage where they are working with 10 cars on screen already.
8 not ten. it was reduced from 12 to 8 for some reason
still 8 >1
plus wasn't that reduction referring to online racing only?
dunno, but how much quality would decrease when increased from 1 to 8???
