well the second memory card can come in handy

What if you buy a 1 meg memory card and a year later the 5 meg ones are out , now with 2 slots you have 6 megs and u can keep older game saves on the first memory card and you don't have to change them out all hte time .

Its also good if your friend comes over and you want to copy over files . though the dc memory cards were awsome in that regard you could link them and trade right there

why didn't sony or ms or nintendo already do it :) it was so what 7 years ago now? Its cause only sega innovates 8)

I have a better idea, why not have smart memory cards with a small lithium polymer rechargeable battery inside that gets charged when it's plugged in to the console, that way you don't even have to replace the batteries like on the VMUs. 8)

It would be nice if Nintendo implements this idea. ;)

PR shots with varying camera angles to hide ugly design features tend to make lots of things look nice when in reality they look pretty ugly.

Uhh? Are we talking about that PS2 picture which basically shows everything? Seriously, do you have some logical explanation for everything (What ISNT there to see in that shot?)?

Anyways, i'll leave designs up to professionals and not some forum members' drivle.

The new design looks nice and even looks half convincable.

Richard whats so hard to believe that people don't like the design ?

I don't like the ps2 design , its a rectangle ontop of a smaller rectangle with wierd indented lines going through the front .

Some people however like it

I don't like the xbox its to big

I don't mind the cube as its not to big and is durable .

I don't think any of them were great designs

Some people do , more power to them

I can careless if someone likes the design or not, but where does that PR shot change from basically any other picture of the PS2? If he doesnt like the design, then every picture of the PS2 is ugly. If the PR shot shows basically everything the PS2 has to offer, including the meat of the console, what is it hiding? Nothing at all. I was going after his logic of things, which make sense to a degree, but in this case, the PS2 makes little difference whether its horizontal or vertical.

LOL a professional. You don't even know me buddy. Certain angles in PR shots can make products looks better/worse. Of course you wouldn't know this because you know nothing about art or photography or marketing.

There are many examples of this in every industry. The most obvious is the automotive industry.

Contrary to what you may think the PS2 is FUGLY when it's horizontal especially in its default black color. It looks better when vertical and even better in different colors. It takes an eye for style to notice this, unfortunately you don't have any clue what style means...
