I use a mod that allows AF + POM in Crysis. It works for Warhead too. Sorry I don't have a link

It's the only mod I use when I actually play the games.

Crysis is better than Warhead I think, but Warhead is not a bad game by any means and still way better than Crysis 2.

One would expect that since this attack is very similar to the Steam attack last year, EA would have fixed any similar security hole. Unfortunately, this is not a problem unique to EA (or any large corporation)...

This is also a good reason for browsers to always ask for user permission whenever a custom URL scheme is clicked.

I have one Origin account with 1 game (BF3) another with 2 (SimCity and SimCity 4) and another with nothing that I know of LOL.

I have two Steam accounts, one with Counterstrike and one with everything else.
This pisses me off actually, because I have to enter username/password everytime I want to play something or switch account - I'd rather just click on either username and be done.

I don't even play the games just because of this, waiting till they sell Counterstrike (the old one) at about 3 euros again.
I wonder if I could hack something crude : have two steam directories, each of them "thinking" it's logged to one respective account. Or play Counterstrike in a VM (that could be fine, the game is lightweight) but I would need working 3D, which I never got in Virtualbox.

BTW I'm on Steam Linux and it works well otherwise. Had a bug, but it's because I updated kernel without rebuilding the nvidia kernel module (it's fine that I have to do this since I install the nvidia driver from a file downloaded from nvidia, not using the linux distro's tools)

I actually got Steam working with Bumblebee (Optimus) on my laptop...but there really aren't too many games on linux that interest me.

To me it's not actually waiting. I find I pad my list of games to play during big sales then once I actually get around to playing them, I'm getting other 8 month old games to last me to the next sale and more (since I'm way behind on games).

The need to have a game on release is all but meaningless to me (apart from Skyrim). I purchase day of release so little over the last few years, especially after Diablo 3. I just don't do it anymore.

Same here. I'm now playing through the first STALKER and finished Crysis 2 before that. I couldn't play games at launch even if I wanted to.

Yeah I live in a bubble and didn't know about Steam sales until now! We should maybe rename this thread to "Future Steam Sale Speculation" since that's mostly what B3D members enjoy doing.

Something tells me you guys buy some games you are interested in for full price.
