One QTE to rule them all, and in the annals of game design to bind them.

I'll buy it for $5. I spent more than a handful of hours standing in a local Showbiz Pizza playing this game back in 1983. Got to the point where I could beat it on a single play thru. In fact, I would die twice at the last possible moment, and then on the 3rd life kill the dragon to max out my score.

Deus Ex HR is up for grabs for cheap if anyone is interested. I almost bought it then the reviews put me off.

Can't really game anyway because of some joint pain in my mouse finger that my doc seemed to be pointing towards arthritis. That's pretty much my life done if this is the case lol.

try a trackball..? they take some getting used to but your clicky finger points down instead of being crooked upwards a bit. well i guess they're all different but there is some flexibility in how you use these things. i got a trackball for work years ago and will never look back. i still prefer mouse for gaming but only if i have plenty of space ;)

I'm willing to try anything tbh but the tips of my fingers feel so tender that any use of them is uncomfortable after a short time. I think some kind of joypad would be better as I'd move the emphasis on to the thumb instead.

yeah lots of powerful joystick-> mouse programs out there. the joystick is a bit of an inferior pointer but maybe you'd get used to it!

Maybe : http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g13-advanced-gameboard with its side mini joystick, or a gamepad...
(Although I use my G13 along with my mouse ^^)
There are also ergonomic mice, the only one I have tried is this one: http://www.evoluent.com/vm4r.htm I know two people having one at the office, they both like it.

I looked at the evoluent mouse and almost bought it when I thought I had RSI, but it won't solve my finger tips problem.

That logitech might help a lot though, and the RAZR Nostromo looks interesting as well. I am (was) playing a lot of MMO's.

Alan Wake and the semi-sequel Alan Wake's American Nightmare are on sale at the humble indie bundle site this week for whatever the fuck ya wanna pay. It also includes more bonus content than any CD Projekt release ever could. Even more than the GOG releases of these games apparently.

The PC version of Alan Wake is sort of indie. Remedy themselves made that happen.

Same with PC versions of most Double Fine console games, with the exceptions of The Cave(Sega funded all versions of that) and Iron Brigade(Microsoft funded all versions of that).

Basically, both Remedy and Double Fine exist in this sort of quasi-"indie" space, where they can and will do shit on their own(Remedy's Death Rally remake, Double Fine's Broken Age) but also take on bigger jobs from folks like, well, Microsoft and EA and shit or get an AAA level game funded and published by them.

Not a lot of studios live in that realm, and it realllllllllllly makes defining an "indie" studio hard as fucking hell.

Ummm....I have bought from HUmble Bundle before, but I am not seeing any option to pay with a Credit Card ?!?! :???:

EDIT: NVM, so it is via Paypal.

and how big is the download on steam ?

Amazon dropped the boxed copy of Ass Creed 3 down to $24 this weekend so I snagged a copy. I think that's the last title from last year's holiday release cycle that I refused to pay $50-60 for.

Wasn't AC3 bundled with AMD cards? I'm pretty sure you could have bought a Steam key before it even launched for less than a $20. I see the same thing for Metro LL now, $15 a pop.
