Sony Home - The official thread*

Not me, I never bet / play for money (except one tiny small currency card game my grandparents used to play with nickels and dimes). But in these times of internet, I think you could actually set something up that doesn't require anything but voluntary contributions.
 
If they want to do adult-themed areas, I hope they don't forget beverages and affiliation with real pubs. Tie them with "Life with Playstation" using Geo-IPs too.

Another day, another Home leak

The update adds a few redesigned locales, like a brand new Home Square. A new music application is being added to the central square as a meeting place for Home's virtual citizens. Here, they can listen to music as a group and even virtually dance.

I am more and more happy with what I hear. Integrating media into all the Playstation destinations, Home and Life, will be highly appreciated (at least by me anyway).
 
Remember downloading the HOME theme to apply for the beta? Emails have been sent out for this today. So those that applied through the HOME theme, check your email.

I got in too, and nothing special. Well, I downloaded almost all themes, I've been using the inFamous one, though, I barely used the Home one at all. I don't really remember when the Home theme was available, but I bought Bionic Commando from the PSN, I downloaded the Last Guy demo but didn't buy it. Otherwise I haven't been that active on PSN. To be honest, I've been playing Persona 3 for the last few weeks, so I've probably been mostly logged out of PSN.

Same as the other poster. I did nothing. I don't really buy much off the PSN store. I am Qore subscriber. I bought 2 PSN games and the 3 warhawk add-on packs. The only time I use my PS3 a lot is when I watch anime. So I have no clue how they select people to get into the beta.

Just like everyone stated, nothing. I was bummed out because I thought emails were already sent :LOL: I am a Qore subscriber, purchased a few PSN titles.

Shows how group gaming works:
When you're wandering around Home, you'll run into other players that have a large controller above their heads. This means that they've created a match in a PS3 game such as Warhawk or Madden that you can join by clicking X while you're next to them. If you want to set up your own match up, you can open the PSP and create the showdown. When it's over, you're brought right back to Home rather than the XMB.

Not too bad a hands-on overall. 0.98 beta seems to be a stress test.

Yum ! one, how come you don't translate and summarize for us anymore :(

It's a good idea to download all the basic places at one go. It's annoying if every room requires a wait to go in initially. Thanks to all you early beta testers (well, and Sony).

EDIT: The article spoke of a "Home Cafe" event space. Is this the same event space concept as the one in US ?
