They made 6.5 million PS5 during the quarter but only shipped 3.3 million and keeping some consoles for this quarter and the God of War release. The share has rose again after they said they will shipped more PS5 23 million this fiscal year than the 18 million they were forecasting. And they said officially they want to sold more than 23 million next fiscal year without giving a precise number.

Hell of a lot, the PS4 shipped 20m in its most successful year so that'd make it one of the best selling years for a console ever. Looking it up briefly the only better years are the Wii selling 25.95m FY 2009 and the Switch 28.83m FY 2021

Yes. Let's not kid ourselves. At the end of the day Sony's going to get 100+ million PS5s out there.

The question (possibly for a different thread) is can MS sell at least 50 million GP subscriptions by 2027 and get at least 60 million units out there?
