Socket 939 - When?

Would standard BTX be harder on Athlon64 chips? The way the processor is placed at the very front edge and rotated 45 degrees puts the memory at a bit of an offset from the core.

It's not a problem when the northbridge interfaces with the memory, but things might get tricky when it is best to have the DIMMs lined up with the CPU.

Yes.
I am currently running an LSI Megaraid 150-4 (4 ports, SATA 150). It has 64MB of cache, an onboard processor, and performs very well.
3ware just released their new 9500 series Escalade SATA raid cards as well. I'd stick to those brands - you get what you pay for.

Edit - forgot what i am running: 3 WD 160GB drives in RAID 5. Can expand to fourth drive by "Growing" the array out if i ever need the space.
