So...which HDTV do you have?

I have a Sony KV-32HS510 32", 4:3 480p/720p/1080i. Fantastic picture, but I'm really kicking myself for not getting a widescreen

 

Samsung 22" LCD (480p/720p/1080i)

got it like 2 weeks ago and i love it Though i can't wait to get something that actually USES it's higher res modes

 

Samsung 47" Widescreen RPTV bought 3 years ago.


My 21" monitor serves as a second HDTV as well. Capable of running in 720p mode, works great in the office.

 

I´ve got a Sony KDF-42WE655 42" HD rear-projection LCD TV. It´s awesome, although I do have some troubles with black levels sometimes.

 

No HDTV but a Panasonic PTAE-700 LCD projector (1280*720 is the native resolution).
I'm ready for next gen games !

 

Got the 500 myself, awesome PJ espcially for the price.

Toshiba 32 HDTV, a couple of years old. Does 480p and 1080i.

Sony Personal Entertainment Display. 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1280x768 (wtf?) native. Sucks for anything except being used as a PC monitor

When the new consoles come out, I'm going to be taking the money I save from not upgrading the dead platform that is PC, and probably getting a DLP. I want a bigger screen, damnit!

I have no HDTV capable display currently, but I plan to get either the Sony Cineza VPL-HS50 or Panasonic PT-AE700.
I'd most rather take a 50" direct view HDTV, but the prices of them are too expensive, except DLP RPTV's, but they're a bit too bulky.
A projector will do fine until I can afford a +50" LCD, OLED or whatever new tech direct view flat TV.

 

Get the HS50, it's worth the extra money imo.

 

Didn't you get Samsung HDTV at GDC this year?

ps: when well HDTVs become affordable in India?

 

I'd like to see one in person to see what the fuss is about.

Is that what you have or what you wished you had?

DLPs bulky? Are you including the stand? Good luck on your wait for 50+" LCDs behing cheap.


I have a run-of-the-mill NEC 42" PDP.

 

Samsung HLP-5063W 50" DLP and I love it!

 

I can run 1920x1080@60hz to on my plasma just fine and it is just an ED screen. The manual just lists 1080p24 and 1080p30, but when I run 60hz it works all the same. I think it is just not an listed in the manual because there is not offical 1080p60 spec, but I bet quite a few displays can actualy handle the signal.
