Yeah I hope they keep a decent native frame buffer for an otherwise stunning game, would be a shame if annoying upscaling gets in the way.
Funny business at least.Aren't there signs of some sort of temporal AA going on?
I'm not quite sure actually about the NDA. But we're mulling over a potential GDC talk on various bits and bobs in the tech. If that doesn't materialize we'll at the very least write a blog post on some of the stuff.
EDIT: I should probably get off my arse one of the days and get a firm understanding what I can and can not say...
I don't have an Xbox One but the game is gorgeous. I like how they use the scripted physics to do some puzzle and platforming. The gameplay looks good and try to be different of other TPS.Here is a dev interview:

It is probably the most impressive looking game I have ever seenHere is a dev interview:

Gosh, that's totally amazing. They are twisting polygons to the max. I wonder how they achieve that, because the effect is awesome in general, and it seems to stretch the geometry to an extent that I've never seen in a game before. Here is a dev interview:

http://i.imgur.com/cuokguN.gifThe geometry warping effect seems like a photoshop distortion filter where the geometry itself don't displace or morph, rather it's that distortion filter does the trick thus saving on processing power. I could be wrong tho.
It's warping the geometry, clearly. I wouldn't call that a technical marvel the same way Cyan does though. I'd say the reason no other game has shown deformation to this degree is because there wasn't need to. Okay, there's also a processing overhead to shift all those vertices, making large amounts of changes impossible in typical games on previous gens. But I don't think it needs technical voodoo to happen. The geometry warping effect seems like a photoshop distortion filter where the geometry itself don't displace or morph, rather it's that distortion filter does the trick thus saving on processing power. Woah ! Looks like I hadn't seen the platforming parts before. Thats some old school gameplay in there ! The game looks lovely ! WIsh it was on the ps4 too, but I am still skeptical about this one. Atleast the gunplay parts feel super fun !
He was a bit hesitant in answering about the length of the game. Its a huge project, no doubt, what with the live action stuff to go along with it. If it was upto me, I would cancel the Live action BS and just make a long fantastic game to go with these fab visuals and engrossing concept.
Well sort of new info will be at GDC next week, but it's mostly technical "the more you know..." stuff aimed at coders (like developer conferences usually are). There's a lot to tell before and at E3, just waiting for the stars to get aligned, wind to change direction, first swallows to fly in the horizon etc.
I hope they release the slides as soon as possible.
