Burnout 3 gameplay and all tracks from 1 to 3!

And there are new cars as well:

When you start playing Burnout Legends, you'll be hit with that new car smell because there'll be an estimated 25 new rides, including about six cop cars, for each Burnout version in Legends. There'll be roughly five unlockable in single-player; however, to get the other 20 or so vehicles, you'll only be given the keys to 'em through multiplayer with your friends/enemies on the road.

Burnout is like made for short game sessions on the go ... can't wait!

Edit: Mods, sorry if this should be on the handheld board ... I already forget about that one ... again. :?

The AI's inferior to Forza, the cars are too limited, the textures are loe resolution and washed out, there's no AA, you can't play it with a proper wheel, the damage isn't a true physics simulation of crumpling metal.

I think that covers all the criticism we'd expect :p

Umm I thought it has SOME tracks from all three games?

This sounds like it will have all:

Criterion Games has announced updated versions for not only Burnout 3, but Burnout 1 & 2 as well. There'll be the same songs and tracks of the first two

But we will see. ;)

Thank you for posting this! Yep, saw it yesterday in OPM and was like, "OMG!"

I guess the classic tracks are being "reimagined" to fit the art style of the upcoming Burnout: Revenge or whatever it's being called.

The article said one of the developers' biggest challenges is matching the blazing frame rate of the console versions, but they've apparently made big strides in this direction. If they can get that baby to run at 60fps...

The article also compared these shots to an early photo of the original Burnout - a first-gen PS2 game on Criterion's engine that was touted to push 12M polys/sec, IIRC. These PSP screens blew it away. :p

How can you tell how great it looks when everything has been blurred not to mention from tiny screenshots?

Well the screens might not be the best, but you can see it's just sweet. Considering it's on a handheld. I think it will take some time for many people to get used to this kind of graphics on a handheld. It's just sweet.

Tiny screens? Those screens are in the PSP res. of 480 x 272, every bigger screen would be blown up.

I wonder if they were allowed to use the full specs from the psp's machine or if they had to settle for the govenor speeds?

Web videos always look much worse than the screenshots, due to capturing method.
Haven't yet seen the ign video, but was it filmed directly from PSP screen?
If it looks even as good as Ridge Racers then I'm happy enough.

I don't think the screens are from PS2 version, is Burnout Legends even coming to PS2?

u can alway go ign to download..

here is what it looks like and i doubt capturing is fault..video in motion even worst..

Actually, those must be the worst captured screens ever.

At least they are not upscaled, but I agree, the video actualy looks much better than those screens suggest.
