Some venues were already sold out by a lottery. There were so many Chinese merchants that apparently Chinese/Korean was the main language in some front lines. (The guy who was handed a PS3 from Kutaragi as the first buyer at the Yurakucho launch event is a Chinese guy).

I don't know, but isn't the 60GB version more popular? The absolute shipment number is so low it doesn't matter I think. But I guess those who try to resell them aim at the 60GB version...
