What does that have to do with the fact that the picture everybody was drolling over was a supersampled bullshot?

And yes i have the demo.

Oh, I'm not going to get into it here, as I'll likely be banned, I have my opinion of you.

Just saying, the game looks considerably better in motion than you're trying to lead on by "exposing" the truth. Keep up the fight though, you'll win the war yet!

Im not trying to lead on anything. I simply pointed out that the picture is a bullshot (AFTER people claimed it was ingame ). You having a problem with that is just .

How about actually contributing to the thread instead of just stating how poor opinion you have of me.

Im far to old and i have a far to cool job to remotely care about some platform war or whatever is the reason for your reactions as to me pointing out the truth.

Ok thats enough guys take it to PM if you must.

When is collectors edition going to be available in UK? I have yet to play the first 2 games.

And isn't that pretty much the definition of a bullshot?

GoW 3 will look nowhere near the level of the supersampled shot, it has way better alpha textures, much better aliasing, better mipmap level, better LOD.

No. There's a whole thread on the matter. I believe we established on this forum that there's such a thing as a super-sampled shot (promo shot) and such a thing as a bullshot...and both are different (the latter is more extreme...usually using CGI of some form).

So Dante's Inferno got blasted for playing like God of War and then they knock down God of War for playing like....God of War?
What did they expected the gameplay to be like..Ninja Gaiden, DMC or Bayonetta ? :)

I sometimes don't quite understand the criteria followed by the gaming journalists these days for reviewing...ah well ! I don't care anyways.

Actually, I posted the screenshots because technically and artistically, I think they look great. I wasn't that impressed with GoW3 look because I can't get away from Kratos' ugly face (Yes. yes, you can have art with ugly main characters but Kratos' face is too much for me). In my view, they will need to work extra hard to please my eyes.

I am a little confused because the 0xMSAA link you referred to looks very good too. The only noticeable difference to me is the more dramatic camera angle which focuses on the conflict between one monster and Kratos.

I prefer to see a video because we can tell if it's in-game right away, and at the same time we can experience the game rather than staring at a poster.

Well if that is the game's only flaw, i'll love it. regardless of the 'vote'. who cares about the vote anyway, it's just a number.

Then you misread. Some people wanted to call one thing for promoshots and one thing for bullshots.

The other people in the thread, said that making that difference is like differencing between a small bag of crap and a bigger bag of crap by giving them different names, even thought ultimately, both are bags of crap.

Just because you like your definition, doesn't mean that mine is any less correct.

either way, NEITHER ARE ACCURATE REPRESENTATIONS OF GAMEPLAY GRAPHICS. Since i like you, if it makes you happy, i can call all of them for promoshots, and we dont have to have this idiotic discussion ever again ;)

Some edges have pretty noticeable aliasing in the direct feed shot while the other one is completely clean. I agree the direct feed shot looks good (the actual game also looks very clean in motion), but if you zoom in, you can easily see the difference.

... like hell I'm going to zoom into the screens ~! ^_^

There should be (tons of) better things for me to zero-in on when I play the game.

Just look at the origins of the word - used by a journalist to describe a Madden "Bullshot" befoer this generation. Original Killzone 2 screenshots were "bullshots". I think Beyond3D is better than using words made up by random journalists. SS Shot is just helpful, technical, and avoids confusion =)

And Oste likes me :D
