Point Counter-Counterpoint: PS3 Editorial

You probably know that the PlayStation 3 will be releasing in just a few months now, and you've probably been hearing some pretty nasty things being said about the future platform. Spin, hype, hate, and ****** adoration are quite typical in this business, especially right around the time a big new system is set to release. In this consumer world, we like to break down simple things like colas and videogame machines into lifestyles and factions. Pepsi people hate Coke people, PC people hate Mac people, Nintendo people hate Sony people. People never seem to realize that they're putting way too much energy into drinks, computers, and game systems. So, with a clean mental palate we're going to examine some of the predictions of doom cast toward the PlayStation 3. Folks, this is Point-Counter-Counterpoint.

Point-Counter-Counterpoint works like this: we've scanned some forums and picked out 10 of the most common arguments people have made against the PS3. The anti-PS3 arguments will appear in bold, and below them will be an observation by some of our writing staff or other gaming experts.

I like both Coke and Pepsi. After the months of MountainDew-like waves of PS3 bashing and Sony hatred I found the article to be rather refreshing.

I was wondering how long b4 someone posted that article. Slashdot is where I found the link to it. It made for a good laugh. I mean the first thing that caught my eye was the true HD thing.. and it seemed to go downhill from there...

But like I said before, I needed a good laugh last night.

Yet somehow less useful. If I were to print the article out, then place it in the garden, no flower would bloom. They would simply wilt and be sad.
