Asthetic design = subjective, however on paper, the PS3 hardware advantage over the Xbox360's is ~0. Some cpu advantage, however we don't know real world efficiency for either (and assuming 6 SPE's if one is reserved for OS we have ~192Gflops which compares nicely with ~115Glfops for the Xbox360). If the r500 + EDRAM ends up having a significant advantage over the G70 (and the r500 seemsa generation ahead in terms of architecture) then the Xbox360 may very well have some minimal advantage on the screen.
And I loathe Sony-speak so so very much. I wish they would just be honest, and have a Sony engineer give a realistic assertion of the system. Hearing things like 1.9 Tflops of GPU performance makes me want to throw up. Or how about this line (paraphrased): The PS3 supports 1080P as a standard, which is far superior to 720p/1080i. What a load of crap! What, are they really going to render their games internally at 1080P, just to scale them down and output them at 720p? Or are they going to output 1080p and waste processing power, as 99% of TV's can't output that resolution? Assholes, i hate them. Microsoft too though, in a slightly less frustrating way.
