Official Microsoft Japan Summit 2005

I would pay for FF VI or VII with next-gen graphics. I'm sure hundreds of thousands would, too. I'd also pay for any of Square's "other" PS1 RPG's, such as Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, etc, redone.

Which ever platform gets a followup to Vagrant Story I will not hestitate to buy. :) Although the team behind VS is busy with FFXII, still I hope to see a VS sequel next-gen, ditto for a new Chrono game..........

I couldn't agree more, Square's vision for these RPGs were so far ahead of the technology available. Would be awesome to see them updated with next-gen tech :)

The closest thing you get to a Chrono game is Xenosaga. The original team by the chrono series has been scattered throughout Namco Tri-Ace and Square. The likelihood of another Chrono is pretty low. Square likes to have the remake teams consist of as much as possible of the original teams, as with the PS1 remakes of the old NES/SNES FFs.

FFVII won't happen out of the sheer fact it was tech demo'd on the PS3... that'd be an insult if I ever saw one. I doubt we'll see any FFs after 7, since S-E'd think it too early. That, in my mind, leave only FF6 as a possability.

I would do anything to get a remake of FF VI, with graphics like those of the bonus movies from the Playstation version. For anybody who hasn't seen them, they are 3D pre-rendered but they still look very much like the original Yoshitaka Amano drawings. A FF game with visuals like that would be a dream come true for this nerd.

Also, Konami announced that Pro Yakyu Spirits is currently in development for the new console. The Spirits series is a baseball simulator that will most likely not be seen stateside. No other details about these games are known thus far but we'll keep you updated as information becomes available.

Well, that's an issue of semanitics. Point is Square likes to have the people who understood the game incharge of it update/remake/rerelease.

Also, something off the top of my head... would the remake those NES/SNES considering they've already been brought to the PS1?

Meh, wait 10 minutes and we'll probably know.

"The original developers " of the EverQuest ", use the PC and the development tool XNA for the Xbox360, the MMORPG " Vanguard: The Saga of Heroes " has been produced.
With the E3 of last year, Xbox360 edition is made, because * * with comment of the production person who is said had come out, being to have become matter of concern, it does, but every month, the new screen shot was not open just is released, information at all with the official sight."

The site still hasn't updated yet but someone on 2Chan who claims to be at the event says that Radiata 2 (Square-Enix) has been announced for the Xbox 360

Currently comparisons between the 360/PS3 are being made at the event

July 24, 2005 - The latest occurrence at the Xbox Summit in Japan was a demonstration hosted by Bizarre Creation's Nick Davies. He showed off the graphically impressive vehicles and environments for Project Gotham Racing 3. The cars will be comprised of 40,000 exterior polygons and 40,000 interior polygons. This is a huge leap when compared to the 10,000 total polygons used on the vehicles of PGR2.

In another example of PGR3's advanced graphics Davies stated that the Brooklyn has the same number of polygons as the entire city of New York in PGR2. Players will be able to customize and create tracks and race 80 different cars. Also, the crowds watching the races are fully polygonal and number in the thousands. No more card board cutouts cheering on the roadside!

The demo went on to show off Gotham TV. We'll have more information on this title soon with the distinct possibility of some media.

Square Enix remaking "a classic Final Fantasy game" for the Xbox 360. They also said, "The next Xbox has no limits"

If they remake FF6 or FF7 I will buy Xbox 360.

I think this is fake..
Over at GAF, there has been lots of "fake news".. because Speevy managed to write something funny.. that EAD and intelligent system were going to develop for 360 and apparently, Ruliweb put this as "news" with GAF as source.. since then all shit broke loose and everyone started posting "fake news"..

the real news are here..
