Oculus Meta Quest 3

Quest 3 Adreno 740 will range from 492 to 599mhz frequency depending on loads and needs, which means from 2.4 to 3.05Tflops .
Not bad.

2.6x power for GPU-dependent games, which most VR games are GPU-dependent anyway. That would put it in the 3.6tf range.

It should be 3.05tflops as it's running at 599mhz max. But that's still amazing for a mobile chip. With good optimisation and other specific features of the adreno 740 they should get better results than PSVR 1.

Coming from a Quest original that I only use for Steam streaming from the PC, I can see myself buying one of these when they (eventually, in a year or more) go on sale.

Oh ok, I was reading 3.6 somewhere. And like Quest 2 they're probably unlock more performance as time goes on. They also have spacewarp as an option, which runs at 36fps but it feels like 72fps. Grid Legends does this and felt smooth, but the visuals aren't good. A Quest 3 update would probably be incredible for a standalone.

Adreno 740 can go up to 719mhz and provides a theorical max of 3.68 FP32 Tflops yes.
They can use features like Meta super resolution, hardware RT, spacewarp, AI acceleration hardware etc..

Grid legends added graphics options in an update, the base game runs at 72hz and 0.75% of native res. After a few test a good compromise for IQ and perf i chose was 60hz and 110% res, looks much sharper.

damn spent more than hour trying to pair my Q3 with the app, appears that with Xperia phones there is a problem and the pairing does not work !
Had to use my wife's phone and install the meta app to pair the headset in order to use it.

I got mine too, just tried Beat Saber and PadelVR, need to find some spare time this weekend.

Any suggestions for "new" experiences to try out? No wish for FPS etc

Some screens of Red Matter 2
