NVidia Ada Speculation, Rumours and Discussion

Why are people assuming that frame generation will bring 2x+ framerate improvement? Their comparisons were with "RTX Off" meaning native rendering, then "RTX On" meaning DLSS Performance + frame generation. We don't know yet how much performance the latter adds.
Did you even watch the event? They claim 61 FPS for DLSS2 and 101 FPS for DLSS3 in Cyberpunks new RT mode

This is kind of reminding me of the GTX 280/260 launch. Wow, the tech. Damn, the price.

There's an opening here for a 4870/4850 moment with a lower performance AMD card if they can get within sniffing distance of Ada performance at like half the cost similar to what happened with that generation.

It doesn't have to be faster, it'd just have to be somewhat close (say within 25-35% of Ada performance) and come in at a significantly cheaper price.

bring 2x+ framerate improvement?
Example
Your game runs at 60fps on dlss3. But we remember that DLSS3 MAYBE will work with frame interpolation
And your 60 frames are interpolate to 120
The only problem is a artifacts, similar interpolators already exist in TVs, some smartphone soc and in SVPs. They all have very large artifacts

I think you can compensate them with motion vetches, but by how much?
