You should take a look at the clock on Nintendo's website, its' all over the place, although right now it looks like a 1 PM EST start, rather than a Noon start. I wonder what the delay was... or if the websites were jsut wrong about what the actual start time was.

I think nintendo was going to host the non-live version. They have a link to the "live" conference at the same site.

It's possible it's actually going on right now, and the issue is not getting the live streaming working right...

Next gen I say we get a group of people to promise NOT to look at the new designs. When we get them we should photoshop them and then let the 30 people look at them and tell us which they like best... So far I have seen 90% of people fall on party lines. If they are a Sony fan they like the Sony design, if they are a MS fan they like the MS design, if they are a Nintendo fan they like the Nintendo design.

I was skeptical of the Nintendo design... and the first thumbnail I saw maid me groan... but looking at it full size all I can say is: SWEET.

It should fit right into a home theater setup and match very well. I love the clean/glossy black look (only PS3 that looked good was the black one IMO) and the blue matches well for my room.

I must agree with Phil though... who are they targetting? My guess is that kids do not care about look as much... so going with a sexy adult friendly look will prevent it from being shunned for looks. Another point is everyone went wild over the Mac Mini and were slamming the SFF PCs--but that is what we have here. Mac Mini console vs. SFF PCs--just the console version. Now I sided with the SFF PCs due to power + software. The Rev will have first party software... so the question is 3rd party software and to see if it is in the same power ballpark.

So far all is looking good on all three fronts.

Oh conference has started... even though Nintendo site says 11min :?

I'd rather them talk about games than that their gpu does 5 trillion flops. This is worse than MS's presentation for bs though.
