holy crap that Gameboy Micro looks hot! And I LOVE the retro NES controller look. :D

I love it also if they can get it priced at under 50 bucks it could be a big seller. I know if they get it under 50 bucks ill be getting it for my nieces and nefews this christmas.

Yea jvd told me on IM that it's gunna retail for $50. If it plays MP3s as well, this is going to sell like nuts, particularly in comparison to the psp.

If it plays MP3s it will sell millions apon millions. I would dump my flash MP3 player for 1 for the gym. Playing games on the treadmill or inbetween sets would be freaking awesome. Right now no chance in hell I bring my PSP to the gym to big, fragile and expensive.

Which was also much smaller then its competitors BTW.

Have you seen the PCB for a PS2 (old one, not the new one). It's pretty small - no where near the size of the case itself. That said, I'm sure the GCN is smaller, just that the PS2 may not be as large as you think.

new pics of the system, and it looks sweeeet. Very slick.

I can see Nintendo's strategy now, something smaller and more cost effective. Appealing for gamers who want to pick up a second system to complement their 360/ps3.

hopefully the hardware is up to snuff.

wow these are the best systems of this generation . Its like a mini mac had sex with an ipod and then that offspring had sex with a psp !

(tlaking about the rev )

I want a micro too.

What would rock if somebody came out with a gba mp3 cart that was just a music player ui, with a memory stick slot (the pro duo psp kind so the whole unit could be small). I could plug the 1gig stick in there I bought for my psp. =P

not that gung ho about the 4 controller and 2 mem slots... that could have been used for newer connectivity stuff -- ala ps3's multitude of USB ports, sd, CF, etc. Why not do 4 usb ports and sell adaptors for controllers and mem cards. More money in peripherals and fine for those that don't need the GC controllers.

legacy is fine and well but don't do it at the expense of progression... especially since real estate is so precious with a console of that size

Wow, talk about learning their lesson.

/applauds.

Now, someone needs to tell MS and Sony that no one in particular asked for the consoles to look like vases or electric grills.

Man oh man...I love the look!! This will look good on my ES...especially the silver one. I wonder if you could customize the neon light. 8) Way to go Nint, very sleek indeed.

How advance is water cooling technology in its present state of implementation?

Not good enough, unless I am missing something big here. I still have no clue how the Xbox 360 water cooling works.

And by the way, I am really exited about nintendo's new hardware or better said future hardware, can't care less about what some trolls have said here so far.

Wow, I am going to get a black one, it will fit perfectly in my home theatre setup.

The real question is what other console everyone is going to get. If Nintendo makes it cheap to get access to their old library everyone is going to buy one.

Really like the white version. Seems everyone this generation is copying the PS2's vertical stance.

I think when it's layed down flat (horizontally) it looks like a VCR that's upside down though. Much neater in the stand.

Water cooling, at least in the manner it’s currently used in PCs, is not really a space saving feature. You need to store, circulate, and cool the liquid, which requires a reservoir as well as a pump, plumbing and a cooling unit. From the sound of it, X360 has an OTES system which uses water as a thermal conductor.

Okay so how much LESS powerful are we expecting the Revolution to be? lol

My random guess ( with no factual basis whatsoever ) would be:

1x PowerPC 'Gekko' variant clocked at about 1.4GHz ( 3x GC )
1x ATI graphics chip clocked at just under 500MHz ( 3x GC flipper )

Extra embedded DRAM to support HDR/HDTV
Much larger pool of Mosys ram.

The whole thing could be tied around low latencies rather than high throughput.. ( in the same way that an Athlon performs compared to a P4.. )
